About the Project
This project is to record my progress in my ventures in Lyonesse. I backed the Kickstarter in 2014, that was also the time I discovered this fantastic community after watching the Let's plays on BOW. In 2017 I attended the Wolsung Bootcamp at OTT/BOW HQ and had a realy great time. Through the years I collected (almost) every model available in this beautiful range and I painted about 2/3 of them.

Painted train
Today I painted the train in a couple of hours.
It was an easy paintjob: black primer, some drybrushing, a couple of details and a wash.
Hope you like it.
T(e)r(r)ain
A couple of weeks ago I bought some extra terrain for Wolsung at Micro Art Studios at a great deal and it has arrived. It was a big box containing the Warehouse, 2 blocks of flats, 2 walkways and 2 cars. The cars I have put together, but the building I haven’t started yet.
While I was wandering through the projects system I saw some more terrain I liked by Sarissa Precision in the projectblog by @henrileite https://www.ontabletop.com/project/1631390/
So I bought the 28mm steam train with a couple of wagons. It’s a very nice set to put together, now to find the time to put some paint on it.
In the meantime I’m also 3D printing an airship from the Skies of Sordane range. It’s a very nice model, but it’s gonna be big, about 50 cm long.
So I have enough hobbytime ahead of me.
Under construction
It’s been a while since I spent some time on the construction of the mansion.
Today I got the basic construction of the roof roughly done (glue is drying now)
Next steps are detailing of the roof, making a balcony on the first floor and putting in the windows.
While I’m waiting for the glue to dry I’m already starting my next building.
A couple of months ago I bought a very nice book: ‘Buildings, tabletop terrain from XPS foam’. It was a kickstarter (which I missed), but had the opportunity to buy it directly from the creator Gerard Boom from Shiftinglands.com.
It’s a very comprehensive book which goes in detail what techniques and tools you can use. It also shows you step-by-step how to build 14 different buildings. I’m going to make the factory (which is the most difficult build of the book) with some steampunk features.
Gerard told me when I picked up the book that this print is a one-off.
When it runs out-of-stock it will not be printed again.
Ven Rier Agents
Here are two heroes for the Ven Rier Agents faction.
They have been on my to-do-list since I received my Kickstarter pledge (back in 2015).
First up: Adela ven Uss
And also finished is Herr Frost.
Captain Frederik Olafson
Slowly progressing through my pile of Wolsung minis.
This is Captain Frederik Olafson with his flaming sword.
He was my last unpainted mini from the Ash & Oak faction.
One of these days I’m going to make a group shot of the entire faction.
Maybe in their new mansion (when I get it finished).
The mansion part 2
It’s been a while since I updated this project. I made some progress on the mansion.
It’s made of XPS-foam and foamboard, the foamboard does warp a bit due to paints and glues, so in the future I wanna try to use only XPS.
Here are some pictures of the progress.
First up pictures of the outsides.
Next some topview images.
And some pictures of the groundfloor.
The next steps will be some extra detailing on the interior.
All the windows have to be put in the walls.
On the right side of the building there will be an balcony.
And I have to construct the second floor/roof.
The mansion part 1
The construction of the ground floor for my mansion is almost ready.
I think this will be a proper HQ for the Ash & Oak faction.
I got inspired by the Mystic Mansion MDF-kit by Warcradle.
The corridor in the back will be playable because the top four steps and landing can be taken out.
Next steps will be to construct the first floor.
After that I will mod podge the foam parts, then some paint and decorating the inside walls with wallpaper.
For the roof section I have to figure out some things in the construction part.
Some models
Here are some Ash Oak models: two fencers.
Some Scylla models: Vendetta cousins
An unaffilated model: Bernette Virgil
And some terrain, a statue and a scratch-built XPS foam factory
