Getting Down To The Grunt Work!
I’ve gone looking on the interwebs for concept art and video game renders for my colour schemes my cunning plan is to airbrush metallics with inks to get the armour down quickly. Thankfully, I have some grunts from the Banished, so I’ve knocked up a pair to test it out.
The Fire Team & Plan
So HALO Flashpoint has two ways to play, a draft mechanic or full list building with point values. Since I’ve managed to snaffle the Covenant early, I have no idea what the point values will be, so I’m using that as carte blanche to go ahead and pick what I want in a cheeky draft.
So I’ve grabbed a mix of Covenant minis that should give me options for the fire team, starting with my leader and tactician;
The Prophet of Regret. There is a second San’Shyuum in the box, but I figured I can use him as both until I get around to painting the second.
Both Sangheili Honor Guard because if you’re going to bring the Prophet then he needs someone capable of keeping him alive. Also, they have a bit more detail about them than regular Sangheili warriors.
A Jackal Sniper with a beam rifle because sometimes you need to make your opponent cry.
An Unggoy Major with Needler, an iconic weapon that I wanted to paint up
An Unggoy Minor because I want to run a Grunt into a cube with a plasma grenade!
9 days isn’t a huge amount of time, especially for a lazy slacker like me, but I have a cunning plan, and if it works out, then I’ve got both Hunters to paint.
