Ben chats to Mike from Osprey Publishing to show off Gaslands. A game that a lot of people have gotten excited about, Gaslands lets you use your own car miniatures to build scenarios and set pieces for your game.

Yeah, I’ve heard good things about this one too. With a 3 year old with a toy car obsession in the house, we’ve got a bit of an abundance of beat up looking Hot Wheels as well. I think I feel a plan coming together…

@embracraig, that was my idea! picked up the kindle version of the rules just to have a look and am planning on borrowing some of my sons cars for a demo game at my local club in the up coming weeks

Been seeing a lot of chatter about Gaslands, definitely something I need to take a look into
I’ve seen quite a few gameplay videos for this one pop up and heard good stuff.
Looks like it could be another winner small book game under the Osprey imprint, who doesn’t want to burn around in the last of the V8 Interceptors?
I’ve already collect about 20 Matchbox cars for conversion! The game is a blast.
This looks really interesting and cheap to get into. Also a good entry game for kids to do some modeling and tabletop play potentially.

Recently bought the PDF rulebook but haven’t had the chance to play yet. I have however spent way too much time modifying hotwheel cars.
Looks nice.
I really really like the idea of just picking up a car and start converting it. Provides a lot of freedom. Could see it be fun to do with my kids as well. Nice one indeed.
I did wonder what it was. I saw someone created a project blog about Gaslands, and now I know what it is!

It´s a very fun game. We´ve build and painted some cars with the visitors of our booth on RPC last year…

It is a really easy to learn game, such a lot of fun to play. I’ve also played it solo with good results.
I am hoping the updated Car Wars turns out as nice as Gaslands. Car Wars will however have miniatures.

It reminds me of playing Car Wars but is much more accessible using toy cars that you can convert up.

This is a very popular game at the moment. Heck I’ve already bought some matchbox cars. I think it fills that void of the old car wars types that miss that type of game.

Definitely going to get and try this. The fact alone it’s not limited to 2 players makes it interesting to me.
Such a clever idea love it, not played it but looking at some members conversions on waypn makes me very interested, i so wish i stil had that box of cars i had as a kid

Been following gaslands with interest. Looks cool. Gameplay looks really simple and fun.
I’m already modding some Hot Wheels in my mind… And raiding my bits boxes.
Being able to use toy cars is a great idea. Just need to 3d print or assemble some cool weapons, give it a nice paint job, and you’re off.

I have been seeing a lot of buzz about this game. It looks amazing, and to be honest you had me at post-apocalyptic death race. Been trying to get a group to commit in my area….and started buying some matchbox cars, lol.

That could be a fun game, creating new car from the “Dollar Store” into killing car, create a KITT (like in knight rider) vs KARR.

Terrific game with probably the best price point for entry of any minis game on the market. I have discovered that not all of the scenarios are as good as the main Death Race scenario (Saturday Night Live feels like it could use some tweaks), but I’ve not had a “bad” game of Badlands.

Gaslands has quickly turned into one of my favourite games. I can’t go past a poundshop now without raiding it for toy cars!

For anyone who has not played, this is an awesome game. It is a beer and pretzels game that has a really low price point, with a popular theme. This makes it a fantastic gateway minis game!

its a great game, got a load of cars from ebay, all pre battered, and in the process of modding them out of my 40k bitz box.
fun game and plays fast and is easy to pick up, no need to go into faction rules if you don’t want, and to be honest even just giving all cars a machine gun and ignoring car/buggy/bike rules it’s still a perfectly good game.
