The folks at Warfulcrum Games have added a new kit to their website for those wanting some armour for World War I wargame, 1918. The Germans can get their hands on the A7V Heavy Tank, trundling over trenches, a newfangled war machine for the modern battlefield.
German A7V Heavy Tank - Painted // 1918
This tank saw combat during World War I and weighed around thirty tons and was crewed by a staggering eighteen soldiers (sometimes more!). The armour on the sides and rear was around 15mm and on the front it boasted a tasty 30mm. This meant that it was well protected against all but serious firepower.
It could run at around six miles per hour but it was prone to mechanical issues according to Warfulcrum, which didn't help when it was rumbling across rough ground quite a lot!

Only twenty of the A7V were produced, with its most famous moment coming during the Second Battle of Villers-Bretonneux. It was the first proper tank-on-tank battle against the British Mark IV. The kit from Warfulcrum Games comes with the main tank alongside two main gun variants, three crew figures and four different crew heads, including those with splash masks.

A fearsome piece of kit and the classic "land ship" that you'd expect from World War I armoured warfare. The A7V comes as both a physical kit from Warfulcrum and as digital STL files if you'd prefer to print the tanks off at home.
It's great to see more kits coming out from Warfulcrum for 1918 and with the Americans and the French on the way soon, there will be plenty to sink your teeth into for World War I wargaming on the tabletop.
Are you going to be picking up this tank?
