this looks instresting , would love to play this

jax78

Think this would go down well at our club.

turak

Funny enough I like the black and white theme to the art. It’s different to other games that are very colourful.

amachan

Escape the Dark Castle is one of the few games that have no miniatures and that I’m interested in.

astralwraith

Something to look out for

radegast6

fabntastic atwork

Oh I like the black and white look on this, very stylish

kadmon

looks instresting

pagan8th

Art style does remind me original d&d

sulphur

Looks like a lot of replay involved and my kids would love this as they started their gaming with me with Heroquest. Cool

bigbadbazz

good old style adventure book game

cypher2009

This is basically all those Fighting Fantasy books we read as kids on the table top. This looks so much fun. The artwork is amazing. The gameplay loks great and I absolutely love the dice mechanics. So clean. Really love this game. (P.S. I think the winner needs a flash-drive with sound files of Justins Miller voice from the Lets Plays)

sundancer

The coverart looks great. reminds me a lot of the old games workshop stuff from back way when.

turbocooler

I like the black and white illustrations as that makes is very unique. It is also very easy to play so you can get others involved very quickly. It is as was stated very hard to win.

katana100

Was looking at this the other day the art is just fantastic!

darkdanegan

Just a really well designed game with a simple art style that brings back that Fighting Fantasy nostalgia!

stainless001

Love the idea! This seems like a really fun game to play, equally love that you can play this on your own.

theamazingmrg

It’s a fun game (my friend owns it) but God, it’s brutal!

grimnayshawn

This looks like an interesting take on the “choose your own adventure” books.

subliminalconspiracy

Looks great!!

ntrabbit

Looks like a fun game I could get my non-rpg playing friends to play

janus1004

I have kept an eye on this for some time, would be a great thing to win!

lordofuzkulak

The retro look to the art is nice and it kinda makes it feel like the game has the weight of age behind it (by that I don’t mean that it feel out of date, I mean it feels like an established, long running franchaise like Warhammer Fantasy or D&D; in fact the art reminds me of the art in some of the 2nd ed WHFRP books (which I think might have been recycled from 1st ed)).

deadhead

another great prize

bootlegbaker

Looks interesting, sometimes less is more.
Thank you for not interviewing the guest in front of the table.

alin

Dark castle rocks

petedarby

Love the old school aesthetics

nikkel

Looks very interesting

ghostbear

Wow, now I need to go back and check out the Let’s Play cause this sounds like a blast.

dodgyfarmer

This sounds like a great leap forward for the game book concept. I like this and would expect it to find a place in all sorts of different genre. A pirate version just seems like a natural next game.

alimyles

It does look interesting, not my normal type of game but I’m kind of intrigued.

albertsmiggins

Keep my eyes open for this one – love the art work

soldaan

Got my copy of the game last week, still have to play it though. Quality of the components is great and maybe we can give it a try tonight 🙂

tomsche69

I really love the black and white of the game, adds to the mood

paragon

Just back the collectors box all in! Thanks for the heads up on this.

wazarov

this game sure looks old school and fun, the art is amazing and simple.

jmrecoil

Artwork is so creepy for this game, love it.

bighagar

So cool

somegeezer

This looks superb.

nouille

Well actually i’ve been trying to find one to buy for weeks but it seems to be sold out everywhere, so winning one sounds like a good option too ^^

killraw

That would be a perfect gift for my brother.

spikeyfreakstu

This looked so cool!

skodamarine

I’m loving the retro art style on this game.

koraski

Definitely has that early 80s fantasy RPG style.

danny76

Interesting looking. Think I’d enjoy that

baranora

Ace!

apolonios

Thank god there is BOW to show us these events 🙂

falerox

Wow, this is both retro and modern at the same time, I love the artwork. It sounds like a great game!

lawnor

In that land(stall) of black an white that orange shirt really makes Ben stand out.

darthvegeta800

Creepy gorgeous art!

cybermonkey

This is a great game although we did get totally killed in the demo.

rickyard

Ugly as hell… but interesting art!!!

ijontichy

Hmmm, this looks so cool!

xabbusan

I would LOVE to try out this game. I just found out about it a few days ago. Always looking to check out games that have SOLO modes. **fingers crossed** ;P

felfeni

Sounds fun 🙂

darkurth2000

Brilliant!! I have always enjoyed choose your own adventure books. This takes those and amps up the enjoyment to the nth level and is absolutely mind blowing!!

petebic

I’d never come across this until the XLBS about kickstarters piqued my interest in what’s available right now on kickstarter, and I saw the expansion Kickstarter for Escape the dark castle.

That lead me to the let’s play (embedded within the kickstart page itself) and I have to say it looks great fun. Particularly for playing with family or non gamer friends who dont want to learn complex rules. And the most of all it seems to have a whole lot of replay value.

ahren78

Very nice art style.

rayzryr

Yes, I saw the play through, and have wanted a copy of this game since it launched. It’s definitely on “the List”, and ranked quite highly.
The art is so perfectly old school, and the “ad” they made… the best!

kayrack

such a dark, deep eerie game

phoenixman

Missed this on Kickstarter

daegren

This looks like a fun game. Maybe a good travel game as well.

templar007

I have this and the expansion set. It’s a lot of fun for a group to play that don’t feel like setting up a bigger game and just want to get to it. All the flavor of doungening without the extra work of dragging out lots of books and other stuff.

bennu

And now I have backed the kickstarter

neoscream

I played a friends copy several times and it is a great game

longshotte

I really like this game. The old school feel to this game really kind of brings back memories.

mgasch

This sounds interesting. I like the retro art style, reminds me of Cave Evil, which is a good thing.

marktarver

I first played this at the expo in 2017, my mate had to buy it, and we sat in the bar and attracted lots of random interest and people joining in the games. it’s a great mix of rpg and atmosphere with the interesting dice mechanic to keep it a bit random, but always having to think which of the bad choices is the best.
really good, and a great game to play through a few times whilst not needing to really invest time, good for casual and experienced gamers.

goatberger

The way Warren talks about it makes it that much more interesting. I’ll have to check it out.

maknikos

Warren’s excitement about this game on the last weekender brought me here and I’m glad it did. This looks really cool!
