Warlord Games Talk About What's New With SPQR

You saw what was a little bit of a fuzzy box shot for this before but we’re now learning a bit more about what’s new for Warlord Games’ SPQR which takes skirmish gaming back to the Ancient time.

We’re very much looking forward to this one and it’ll be cool to see where things go beyond the Romans and Gallic warriors.

Sounds interesting.

lordsanes

I think this would be a nice little starter in case I decide to go full into Hail Caesar.

caledor2

It is always good to hear from Charlie and the new stuff coming from Warlord games.
The game sounds interesting and I might finally start painting some of my Romans.

coachjose59

Seems like there’s a lot of ancient era skirmish games right now. That being said, they’ll still get my money!

Robert

Really excited about this!

torros

From what I’ve read I think Clash of Spears is going to be more my thing

Robert

It sounds very Hollywood, which is probably part of the appeal to me.

vorganov

Do we know who is the game designer?

tankkommander

Might pick up the starter for this.

Scorpion eh

Giant crossbow, creepy insect or undead ninja?

hendrik-damastakilla

romani ite domum

SPQR means “Senatus PopulusQue Romanus”, the senate and the people of Rome. The Romans had that on top of their standards, when they went into battle. Roma Victor! But not in 9 a. d., ha ha.

hairybrains

sounds interesting

higgy

I got lots of these minis last year (Celts – Romans ).
Figures are good, Simple to paint, look forward to seeing the new hero’s.

doomdark

looking forward to lets play of SPQR sounds fun

mischief

Keen on this, Skirmish Bolt Action ancients, yew~

alfonsothetraitor

I for one am looking forward to SPQR. I always wanted to play a Roman army game but I didn’t want to paint a Roman army =P

phoen31

It sounds really interesting… Warlord Saga?
Love to play it though

waxfrance

Ah! It could be more interesting for me and my group of players than Hail Caesar. Sound interesting, I’ll check this as soon as I got intel ^_^

bodders303

Sounds really cool!

bennu

Sounds fun.

goban

This is one to watch. I will pick up a rule book if available. The concept of playing a campaign in one short night is appealing. I would consider a lot of scenic pieces available to interchange from game to game.

falerox

Sounds like an interesting game, It also gives you reasons to paint up a few ancients. Looking forward to it.

darthvegeta800

Quite a few Ancient Times skirmish games coming out or being in the pipeline.
But this one certainly has my interest.
I have some Spartans (both 300 style and historical) that would lvoe to pop up in this system.

deadhead

looking forward to this one

zorg

I do love the Roman figures.

skodamarine

Hmmm, highly detailed designer figures…. Ancient skirmishes…. I’m hooked.

darkdanegan

Sounds like a very fun game, looking forward to seeing more.

silverfox8

This is something I will definitely watch a Lets Play on?

while

Now this, I’m excited for!

laughingboy

Got to say hello Charlie, great guy load of patience teaching me how to play Bolt Action back at the boot camp.

petey9

This game sounds like a win, win, win, win, win. Random activation, character development, small warband skirmish. Warlord knows my mind!

lorddraconum

Great stuff from warlord

fireblarney

Sounds like something I’ll want to take a look at.

lupa15

I am interested in learning more!

darkling

Looking forward to it!

panzerkaput

Sounds like Mortal Gods to me, but it is interesting

agashamirv

Damn it, finally a Warlord game I can skip…nope.

somegeezer

I’m looking more at the rulebook more than the boxed set, but I’m definitely looking at this.
