Airbrush blowing but not spraying: Help needed please

I tend to use isopropanol for cleaning paint such as vallejo air or citadel air.

After using the Vallejo polyurethane primer I use Premi Air foaming airbrush cleaner to clean the airbrush  when I need something with a bit of kick or there is a blockage.

The Allclad II airbrush cleaner is also pretty good at removing primer residue from inside the airbrush.

The first time I used the allclad cleaner it stripped a massive load of black primer gunk that had built up over months from the inside of the airbrush. It should dislodge with either the foaming or  the allclad cleaner. it shouldn’t build up if you use the foaming cleaner regularly e.g. after primer, at the end of a session or if you are trying to clear a blockage.

Great news your gun is working again I would recommend getting a brush cleaning set to help prevent gunk building up again @lawnor

I’ve got one and I use it religiously.  This happened anyway.  After every use everything gets stripped down and cleaned and then gets a few cycles in the sonic bath and then blown through and allowed to air dry under a dust cover.

Great it’s scary how small a piece of dry paint can screw a gun up in a corner you can’t see isn’t it. It’s even worse if you’re at work when that happens and your trying to get a job finish that day. The best thing I ever did was got a cheap toothbrush an a empty kitchen cleaning spray bottle full of gun cleaner to keep them as clean as possible for work.
