Denziens starwars

Had a couple of games of Legion with my brother and my nephew. It was our first test of the Yavin 4 scenery. My look out tower didnt fall over which is good. My multi purpose star wars scatter that should work on any world looked ok. The first mission saw the rebels get wiped out as they crossed the jungle back to their base. The second mission saw the Empire struggle to capture all the areas of the temple ruins making it one all.

I dont think you can ever have enough jungle plants but this time I added a little snake from my old lizard man army. Not sure if square bases were a good idea so might change them to round.

Always wondered what this feller was doing up his pole. According to fluff Yavin 4 is largely unexplored and the jungle has some nasty critters living in it so look outs scan the canopy for dangers. I decided to build one for my Yavin set up. Im sure some one with the know how could 3D print this but I got a cocktail stick holder and stuck some card to it. Job done.

Didn’t take long to put these together with a bit of flock and some clump foliage around some plastic jungle plants. I think they work well for Yavin especially the well with the lichen growing out from it.

After a rummage in the garage I found some scenery pieces from the old mines of moria box set for Lord of the Rings. I thought maybe they would be good jungle ruins so I’ve started to dress them up.

I began making some stone ruins for Frostgrave before thinking I could also use them for Legion as Yavin 4. I made the ruins awhile ago out of foam board and polystyrene. I went back to it and textured it up with some filler before giving it a new paint job and some more foliage. With a couple of terminals from fantasy flights scenery dotted around it makes for a good center piece.

Naboo might not sound like a good battlefield with memories of Phantom Menace still giving me the shivers but with the Clone wars starter set on the way I thought it might be worth a look. TT combat do a good range of buildings for Venice which suit the Renaissance themed Naboo architecture. I picked up the building below which isn’t from that range but their gothic sci fi set. I thought the domed roof if painted right would have a Naboo look.
