We stopped in with the lovely folks from Wyrd Games to talk about all things Malifaux and The Other Side.

@darkvoivod I’m the same. I’ve held off picking Malifaux up as none of the people I game with are interested. But I really love the game’s aesthetic. Really strong theme. May have to pick up some bits just to nerd out on the minis.

The Wyrd miniatures are always a pleasure to see, and those of Bayou Bash look great.
Malifaux has always intrigued me but I can’t find anyone to play around here 🙁 lovely looking sets though.

They are one of my favorite companies. There figure sculpts are amazing. So is the RPG. Fun as hell to play, with a great combat system.
Bayou bash looks awesome, the nightmare crews look great, time to blow the dust off of my Pandora crew me thinks
Pandora is one of those early crews that has disappeared off the tournament lists in the last couple of years. Watch that change with these new upgrades – better original crew synergies and better synergies with some of the later wave models too! Definitely time to dust her off (but be careful -she’s a bit touchy).
I have minis for Malifaux, but no one plays it out here…

I have tried to promote the game on my friends but they dont seem to be buying it, yet…maybe with a box like that they could be kickstarted into action!?
Force them to try it once, and they could be addicted 🙂

I’ve not tried Malifaux but every long standing rule system needs a shake up now and again
The core rules are still as originally released for second edition – no need to fix those. It’s the specific rules for each model on the cards (character and upgrade) that can be updated, added to and errata’d as much as they like to keep things fresh.
Like the sound of Bayoux bash.
Another game I need to get into. I have played using a friends miniatures and really enjoyed it.
I have so many Malifaux minis already, but who can say no to cats?

The other side book looks amazing. Moving to pre assembled is a great way to go for all minis.

Malifaux is a fantastic – my favorite tabletop game. That new Nightmare Hamlin Crew looks incredible. The world as a whole is awesome and the fluff a fantastic read. I’m psyched for the new 2nd Ed. rules of Thru the Breach! My current campaign is nearing a close. When will we see the Neverborn expansion book Aaron?

I was rather hoping Adam would have thrown in a box of Curiosity Killed the Cat as a prize.
I play that faction (Outcasts) but never bought into Hamelin’s Ratty crew – this one overcomes that.
Word has some of the most detailed beautiful minis. So cool, love their stuff.

The wonderful thing about Wyrd, is Wyrds a wonderful thing, Its figures are made out of monsters and monsters are made out of men.
Malifaux doesn’t have much a following round here, but it’s one I’ve always got my eye on.

This got me looking at the at the Wryd site to add something to my Hide and Seek set I painted last year… damn you GenCon damn shiny syndrome.
Big Wyrd fan! I already bought my Nightmare Crew at the Wyrd store, it looks awesome! One of the cats is a disguised chihuahua. 😀
Bayou Bash looks fun. I hope that it’s short, 30-60 minutes. Everyone seems to have such limited time…

Glad to see they are doing well. Bayoux Bash seems like a lot of fun and I believe will be popular. Nice that the Malifaux Universe is going to continue to advance.

Malifaux is something that i’ve always wanted to have a go at but I’ve not been able to get others into it yet. I will manage it but I need to wear them down more.

This is the first year in 7 that I didn’t place a Gen Con order with the wyrd guys.
Still on their website as I write this.
definitely one of the more interesting games out there – the constant creep of expansion and the wombo combos necessary to compete make it a very steep learning curve, but it is still fun

Always been curious about Malifaux, and have used their sculpts in other games quite a bit already. However I now have a few friends playing regular games so I may need to give the game a shot. Looks great and has quite a following!

The Bayou Bash game reminds me of Death Race 2000. The figures looked great. I would bet that they are fantastic painted.
My Ramos and C. Hoffman crews could use some company.
Always so pretty, but intimidating to assmble minis in the past. With alot of thier newer stuff however, the time might be here to finally get some gremlins going.

They often create fun miniatures for strange themes 🙂
