Heard good things of this system. Curious to try it out.

kantor72

I really like the sound of these, particularly the Black Powder book.

stealthbuda

Open Combat is a great system. Pleased to see it doing well.

tuffyears

interesting system

mecha82

Seems interesting.

lorddraconum

This sounds like and interesting game would be great to play.

astralwraith

Wouldn’t mind trying this system out

silverfox8

This sounds great. Looks like it is skirmish level also. Will have to do some research on it.

grimnayshawn

I really like this idea. I have models from eight different games currently collecting dust. Being able to put them to use would make me happy .

bigbadbazz

Clever idea

trinitty

Napoleon in 40k? Yes, would like to test it…

lordofuzkulak

Sounds interesting. Any plans for a sci-fi expansion? Think it’d be really cool seeing a squad of Imperial Guard or Space Marine type guys facing off against a larger force of more primitive locals on a feral/feudal world.

ntrabbit

My skirmish force? The Monopoly player pieces – let’s get ready to rumble

somegeezer

Was chatting to one of the fellas from [Quite-Well-Known-Games-Manufacturer], who gave Open Combat a glowing review. And open Combat for board game minis is a stroke of genius!

thorwodenssen

Is it really complicated to get some profile stuff set up? Anyone know?

lordbob

I love game that allow me to play with any models.

daegren

Hmmm That does sound interesting.

skodamarine

I’m looking for a good system that will let me mash together loads of unused miniatures from dead gaming systems, so this is interesting to me.

hackareatech

I think I’m too AP prone to do this.

turak

Can play with any of my miniatures. That sounds great.

tomsche69

It`ll be intresting to find out more how for example you would match romans against space orks in an indepth game review?

sundancer

Uh…. a TT GURPS? It must be mine!

danny76

Hadn’t heard much of this

kadmon

looks interesting

darkdanegan

A universal game system, if done well, would be awesome for groups and clubs. The statting of units would be very interesting to understand.

thebloke

Time for the battle of the meeple

koraski

Looks like a fun game.

jax78

Sounds a good excuse to get some lovely lookjing but unused minis. Great idea.

amachan

Space Wolves vs. Samurai!

baranora

This sounds interesting

darkspi

it a great premise

nogbadthebad

Sounds very interesting and a good way to get fresh blood into a particular period…

katana100

Looks pretty good!

ironshield

Now I do like the look of this, thanks for showing this guys.

fabint

Will have to give this a further look.

darting

I wonder how easy it is to balance a system where you create your own profiles. Approaching it as sandbox to create interesting scenarios is probably the way to go. Sounds like it is worth having a go.

jmrecoil

Always good to be able to use any miniatures, especially since we all have so many different miniatures.

basilbrush

never heard of it – now willing to have a go with it.

nixtone

Interesting..

scruffyrogue

Oooh, that looks like an interesting system.

vorganov

Played about two three times, and its quite cool!

dougiemonster

Any period? Any range? Man, I’d love to push this to the limits and make a mini game version of something super weird. Any suggestions?

teglas

I like universal games 🙂

petebic

This has always had my curisosity, the fact you only need a 2×2 table and a handful of terrain/minis means it looks like a great game for someone like myself with limited space.

voyager

Interesting. Will it work with 10mm game?

eddator227

Just needs a try.

jondaw

Use my existing minis …. I like it

paulvr

cool! can you use it with any scale of models?

irondragon6

Great content from the Show. If I was there this would be the one rule book I would most certainly have come home with.

georgesealy

I’d love to see more on this system. Any chance of a let’s play? Not being tied to a particular combination of figures rules is liberating.

darthvegeta800

Open Combat is a very good system!

dkenty

love to use this to have difference eras face of

lawnor

How open and anything is it? Would it let you pitch 1000 cavenmen against 5 space marines and have it a balanced fight or does it assume everyone is the same tech level? I’ve always been curious to see a system that would scale across history (and perhaps mythology) appropriately.

spacewolflord

Okay now if they can get to more modern/scifi models. Including vehicles and, dare I say it? Space Ships!? This is now a company to keep an eye on.

while

Got the rules, but still not gotten it to the table!

fearthesquirrels

I’ve been looking for a good generic system for all the orphaned miniatures I have laying around. Hope this can fit the bill.

carabus

Not heard about this system before? Looks interesting.

rickyard

This is the way to go when you LOVE a mini range the game of which you hate XDDDDDD

felfeni

This sounds cool

doomzombie

Got this from KS, but it never hurts to have a spare copy. Gonna have to look into the other book`s, particularly the Black Powder one.

kayrack

Any miniature, any period eh….. Oh the ideas :p

seefrodorun

I think this is an interesting concept. Maybe a good way to get someone into an era before delving deeper with a more specific rule set?

marktarver

very interested to see if an open rule set and offer more than specific rulesets. Having a generic ruleset to cover all my minis and to be able to play different eras is interesting, but i also like collecting rulebooks and playing the games how the designer intends, and it’s whether the minutiae you lose when you go generic is enough to have the ease of use and the familiarisation you can get from similar rules applied across multiple games.

ebrackin

I really like the idea of being able to mix and match!

utherdracus

This sounds like a good idea, Especially the multi-player.

maknikos

Wow never heard of this before, but loving the sound of it! Excellent idea!
