We're finishing up the Boot Camp and hope you enjoyed it! Will you be picking up Dropfleet Commander for yourself and giving it a go?

Dropfleet can be a very interesting game in more than one way. The difference in races is interesting too.

Once again, an amazing bootcamp. I really hope to get to one soon. Great coverage. Great interaction with the audience who were unable to get there. Amazing views from Hawk Wargames, very clearly a “Jump in feet first and get stuck in” approach which is so cool from a wargames company nowadays. Getting down and dirty with the players. I am so dropping by the Hawk Wargames stall at the UK Games Expo next year.

I don’t usually comment but felt i had no choice after this watching this weekends bootcamp. I have watched every blog and even Daves anatomy of a KS, superb commentary throughout!
Being a KS backer i have tried to remain objective and although i was slightly miffed that it went to retail before i received my pledge i fully understand the rationale. If we want to make this game a success we need the game to be out there for everyone to enjoy.
I have played most of the scenarios at least once and used all 4 fleets with differing degrees of success/failure, the game is a blast often quite literally.
i am so glad i supported this at KS, and i really cannot wait to see what is coming next and how the game evolves.
Massive thanks to all at BOW, bootcampers, Hawk and Dave, i am sure you all had a great weekend but so did i, enviously watching whilst building my New York battleship for the reconquest.
Might pick up this and maybe some DropShip after tax season.

Well… Its over, by far the best bootcamp to date. I have had loads of fun,over the weekend. I got 4 games of Dropfleet and the dropzone game. All against PHR… I think i need to practice some more before i move on to other factions.

The combined DZC and DFC game looked like a blast. Especially with the debris aspect. Gives a good depiction of a planetary conflict.
Justin, you seriously need to paint some shark’s teeth on those banana boats of yours 🙂 The PHR design just begs to have them.

Great job, thanks for doing it. While I’ve watched the occasional boot camp video before this is the first time I’ve watched all of them.
The miniatures are fantastic! The space station is amazing. I’ve been following Hawk Wargames for some time now and I find the alien ships really do look “not of this earth”..
BALD! BALD! BALD! Not only the head (that we’re used to) but the face too. This game looks great. Might get a few pals into it. Our D&D adventure group recently got a spelljammer and this could be a great system for these off-plane ship battles.

Great work yet again guys, another hugely successful boot camp done and dusted.
By the look`s of it, everybody had a great time.
Just a pity that the Space Station game did`t get more air time, it would of been nice to see it develop turn by turn. Maybe somewhere down the line we`ll see a battle report, what do you say guy`s.
Well, for you it has be a great weekend, for me its has been a full week of entertainment (and will be more since I am not finished even now)!
