Draco Studios' Dragonbond: Lords Of Vaala, a massive asymmetrical board game designed by Alessio Cavatore, is now live on Kickstarter. This is a seriously impressive Fantasy board game that includes one of my favourite elements of the genre, dragons!

Traders Galaxy is ramping up to the release of the Turbo Edition of Bot War and with the pre-orders up and running I thought I would check out what is changing with the Turbo edition.

Space Invaders was a defining game of my childhood. Heading out to the arcade to take down all of the ships, discs and aliens that wish to make their way to the bottom of my screen. After years of success, the game has been reworked, upgraded, and translated to other digital platforms to keep the space hype alive. Now Space Invaders will be heading onto the tabletop in a new dexterity board game, simply entitled Space Invaders from Buffalo Games. 

Titan-Forge have come back to Kickstarter with a new project for Bloodfields! Their Fantasy skirmish game, brought to life in May 2020, is getting some new armies and offering folks a chance to pick up all manner of warriors, heroes and monsters from their collection.

TTCombat has put together a couple of previews for those wanting to add new priests into your games of Carnevale. Both the Vatican and the Rashaar are getting some new units with the Vatican taking the lead alongside a towering monster.

Para Bellum Wargames has added a few new pre-orders into the mix for those wanting to play as the Nords and Spires in their mass battle Fantasy wargame, Conquest. We start with some upcoming releases for the Nords.

Story and narrative is something I really enjoy as part of playing board games. Especially if I am able to go on a fantasy whirlwind adventure alongside whimsical characters as if taken from a storybook of age.  Upcoming from publisher dV Giochi later this year, the cooperative adventure Wonderbook does exactly that. Playing through a pop-up storybook as the board, players work together to journey through the fantastical world of Oniria. 

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla features a pretty awesome dice-chucking mini-game called Orlog. Designed for the video game, Orlog takes cues from games of the period but was invented to give you a neat thing to do during your downtime. It is also highly addictive!

Magical Miniature Game are now on Kickstarter with their immense new Fantasy adventure board game, Guardians Of Fire. Based on a series of comics, the game dives into a two-to-five player quest through mythological ancient Persia.

Games Workshop has shown off the three new Starter Sets and more than you can use to get started in Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. There are a few different ways of diving into The Mortal Realms in line with what they've done in previous years for both Age Of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000.

This weekend saw another massive preview from Games Workshop looking ahead at releases for the next few weeks and months. Orks were the jewel in the crown this time around as they dived into an all-new edition of Kill Team and what to expect in Warhammer 40,000 too.

Brotherwise Games are now taking pre-orders for their new licensed board game, The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged. Set in the awesome animated world of The Dragon Prince and based on the hit Netflix show, take control of heroes and villains from the cartoon and dive into epic duels. 

Games Workshop continued with their previews for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar this weekend. The Dominion Day Livestream offered up a look at new miniatures for both the Stormcast Eternals and Orruk Warclans that will be joining your armies over the next few months.

Dystopian Wars from Warcradle Studios releases are coming out thick and fast, with new factions, reinforcements and new Battlefleets joining the rough seas on a monthly basis. This month, The Union are joining the fray, with The Constitution Battlefleet setting sail at full speed with American glory in place. 

Later this year, North Star Military Figures and Osprey Games are going to be releasing some more miniatures for Stargrave. We've seen their plastic releases but they are also going to be supported by a selection of metal miniatures too.

Ever thought about wanting to play Gloomhaven without having to find the space to lay out the dungeon, cards, accessories and more? Well, Joe Klipfel has designed Gloomholdin'. This fan game takes the essence of Gloomhaven and distils it down into eighteen cards and can be played in one hand.

Printable Scenery has teamed up with Johnny Fraser-Allen and the team behind the amazing Hagglethorn Hollow terrain range to hit Kickstarter once more. Their hand-crafted Fantasy terrain has now been scanned and turned into high-resolution STL Files, optimised for 3D Printing at home. 

Grey For Now Games has added another new warband into the mix for those playing games of Test Of Honour. The Samurai Warband is now available to pre-order, giving you a neat entry point into this 28mm Historical skirmish game.

Atomic Mass Games has been previewing more of the miniatures coming to Star Wars: Legion in the near future. The battle for Kashyyyk is raging with Wookiees joining forces with Jedi Master Yoda to try to stop the advance of Separatist forces.

Are you in the need of a new giant Green dragon? A nasty beast to meet you at the end of your Dungeons and Dragons campaign, or simply a centrepiece for your fantasy-themed diorama. WizKids has announced their pre-order for the D&D Icons of the Realms: Adult Green Dragon Premium Figure and my word, this miniature is an absolute beast. 

Warlord Games has added another faction to their Warlords Of Erehwon spin-off, Mythic Americas. The Inca are heading to war with a new Warband Starter Set and a bunch of additional miniatures that you can use to bolster your Fantasy/Historical force.

Warhammer+ has now been revealed in full by the folks at Games Workshop. Launching on 25th August, Warhammer+ is going to be a repository for their Warhammer Animations as well as a new selection of in-house shows and more digital content.

As previewed over on Dune News Net, Gale Force Nine is working away on a new version of the Dune board game. Dune: A Game Of Conquest And Diplomacy is going to be getting an update in September 2021 to mark the release of the new film.
