About the Project
After picking up Star Wars Legion and paying a few Tatooine desert games I think it's time to think about some of the other worlds that can be done and create some terrain or adapt some from other games for use in a galaxy far far away.

Naboo Planters
Barricades play a big part providing cover in SWL but doesn’t really suit the streets of Naboo so I picked upsome planters from Sarissa and planted a few model railway plants and job done. Should look good framing the streets of Theed once I get a few more buildings.
Building Scariff
Scariff from Rogue one is a nice tropical paradise with beaches. I either get a game map or have a go at building a board. I went with the board option.I picked up some terrain tiles from TTcombat 4×4 and mapped out my beach line so when rearranged it can be a river. I’ve never done water effects before or anything this ambitious so it was trial and error with filler over boarding to create the terrain.
I covered the boards in sand and painted them before flocking and adding my water effect with a drop of paint to give it some colour. This took a bit of practice to get the colour and level of gluppyness right. The good thing about this board is I can use for other games from fantasy to historical as well as starwars and I had this in mind from the start.
Bottle cap scenery
Gluing a couple of bottle caps together always works for star wars as containers and look good on every planet.
Tatooine Bits
Hoth Gun Emplacement
I was itching to get hod of one of these gun turrets for my Hoth board. It makes a good objective marker. Unfortunately mine came with a broken gun barrel so I had to glue it back together again. Of course I painted it up for Hoth but i guess any colour scheme would work for other boards.
AT ST
Quick paint job of my AT ST. Grey spray followed by a wash and some dry brushing. I wanted it to blend in with as many battlefields as possible with the base. It should look Ok on most tables but probably not Hoth. Needs another dry brush. Judging by the impact mark on it’s side I reckon some Ewok has been swinging logs its way.
Back to Naboo
After playing Battlefront 2 I spotted the doors of the buildings in the city of Theed are black with a silver trim. This makes the historic looking buildings look more sci fi. After re painting my building I started work on a little piece of Roman architecture I thought might blend in on Naboo.
AT ST Dilemma
Picked up the downed AT ST scenery kit but I’m not sure how to paint it. Because I’m creating various battle field how do I paint the base so it can blend in with various terain types such as Hoth and Tatooine. I dont want to be clearly one or the other but would like to slap it down on any table. Needs thinking about.
