Battlefront Miniatures are now taking pre-orders for the three new Starter Sets previewed earlier in the year for those wanting to dive into their wargames set during World War II and the What If? situations of World War III.

Blitzkrieg Early War Starter Set // Flames of War

We start with the Early War because that seems to make the most sense. Here, we have the Blitzkrieg Starter Set, which comes with 15mm scale miniatures for recreating a tank duel between the British and the Germans in the early portion of World War II.

This set allows you to play out the drama of 1940 as the British and Germans clashed to see who could come out on top when it came to the fate of France. We obviously know how that ended up playing out, but perhaps you could squeak out a small victory for the Allies in those early days with this Starter Set.

This set introduces the Americans into the mix, going up against the Germans as the fight back for control of Europe begins. The fearsome assault guns of the Germans find themselves pitted against the iconic Sherman tanks of the Americans in another tank-on-tank clash.

With a neat collection of tanks per side, you've got everything you need for taking your first steps into Flames of War and learning the basic mechanics of the game. Much like with the Blitzkrieg set, there's no reason why you couldn't just stop here if you'd like this to be a fun tank battle in a box for you and your kids or a friend who wants to paint up the other half of the set.

World War III Starter Set

Last but not least, we move to World War III and the Fulda Gap Starter Set.

This set moves the fighting forward from World War II to the drama and the What If? scenarios of the 1980s where the Cold War had gone hot. The M1A1 Abrams of the Americans clash with the T-80s of the Soviets in towns, forests and across open plains where modern technology comes to the forefront in brutal tank-on-tank combat.

Much like with the other two starter sets, it comes with a set of plastic tanks in 15mm alongside everything else that you need for playing your first games of World War III on the tabletop.

This might be a fun Starter Set for those who want to dip their toe into World War III from Battlefront Miniatures if they've been long-term players of Flames of War. You might be Cold War curious and see this as a good way for you to try out the more modern tanks without committing to a big army.
