About the Project
After picking up Star Wars Legion and paying a few Tatooine desert games I think it's time to think about some of the other worlds that can be done and create some terrain or adapt some from other games for use in a galaxy far far away.

Patchy Paint Job
I’ve given the ship a blotchy paint job with a bone colour before giving it a brown wash. I then added a bit of patchy filth here and there. Still need to work on it some more. The ship is very beaten up so yo can get away with a lot.
Slave 1 gubbins
Being a toy the kit had a sticker of machine detail around the wing fins. I glued some spare resin bits from another kit and some mdf shapes from some left overs. I had a look at images of the movie model but I didn’t follow it. I used what I had because the beauty of star wars is how hap hazard and thrown together some things look. I painted it all black before going over with some metallics. I think it looks all right.
Slave 1 Hatch
I had a gaping hole where the ramp up to the hatch should be. Luckily I had some spare pieces of card from a building kit that fit perfectly. I lined it with some spare bits of MDF from the same building kit. I have to add some more details to other parts of the toy.
Scariff Day
Yesterday a little kit from Sarissa arrived and today was my day off so I got to work. The kit resembles what we see on Scariff in Rogue One so now I have the Shore Troopers it was a must. I had a few issues with the build. The instructions number the parts but there are no corresponding numbers on the kit. So if you rush it like I have a habit of doing you can go wrong. The base to my main building was upside down but I dont think anyone will notice.I like the landing pad and as soon as I put it on my tropical board with a few bits of scatter terrain it all came together very well. Simple grey base spray and a bit of dry brushing made this a quick build today.
Slave 1 part one
The toy didn’t sit flat on the ground because it has a handle so you can fly it around the room.So I unscrewed the base and removed it which meant I lost a couple of pieces from the front and sides that are attached and stop the wings from falling off. I cut them off the removed base and glued them back on to the ship. I might used the removed engine base for another project. The ship now sits flush with the ground and looks more like an iron than it ever did.
TOYS
A friend of mine was having a clear out and asked if I’d like some star wars toys from the 80s. I said no thanks at first thinking the wife wouldn’t want more rubbish in the house. Then I thought hang on what if they have some vehicles. When I saw a B wing and Slave 1 I said yes please right away. The At St wont work bit I can play with that. The two ships should work for scale after I checked the shots from the film and compared it with my minis. I’ve not painted up a toy before so I’m not sure how to go about it so if any one has any techniques before I ruin them I’d be glad of it.
