The miniatures look really good. They look less cartoony and better proportioned and have more realism than a lot of miniatures that are supposedly historic and/or true to scale. They look heroic but not heroic scale. I’m most pleased.
I know what you mean, but he never had a hat in the version I grew up with. It’s jarring to see it, as I imagine it would be jarring for kids to see it without the hat.
