Games Workshop Preview Multi-Part Plastic Warhammer 40K Orks
July 17, 2026 by brennon
With the Siege of Death Mire campaign coming to an end ("surprisingly", a draw) for Warhammer 40,000, Games Workshop revealed some new miniatures for the Orks, who are the first faction to get their Codex in the new 11th Edition of the game.
Ork Boyz // Warhammer 40,000
Whilst we've already seen our fair share of Orks from the Armageddon boxed set, those Ork Boyz were the push-fit options to get you to the tabletop quickly. A full, multi-part plastic set is also on the way alongside the Codex and the latest preview gave us a peek at some of the options present in the kit.
Ork Boyz // Warhammer 40,000
The new Ork Boyz set will come with options to arm your ladz with sluggas, choppas and shootas so they have their full complement of weapons to use when charging across the battlefield in the back of a Trukk or on foot, spurred on by the Waaagh!
The set will also add additional dakka in the form of the big shoota, rokkit launcha and the burna. This gives you more ways to lay down fire on the approach, burn away cover and blow up the odd vehicle if you're lucky enough.
Ork Boyz // Warhammer 40,000
As you might imagine, you also get plenty of different ways to customise and enhance your Boyz with a mixture of different heads and other accessory options to individualise the core of your Ork army. It has been a long time coming but it seems like the Ork Boyz are finally in a good place after a few missteps in previous plastic kits.
The set also comes with options for building the Nob who leads your unit.
Ork Nob // Warhammer 40,000
The Ork Nob can be armed with the likes of a kombi-skorcha or a kustom choppa. You could also go for the likes of a power klaw or maybe a two-handed big choppa if you prefer. You'll also see plenty of squigs in the set to add to your bases and an ammo runt to make sure your Nob isn't firing blanks.
Ork Nob - Weapon Options // Warhammer 40,000
With a nice suit of options to choose from and the ability to bulk out your Boyz to a full twenty (including another Nob for good measure), this means you're going to have a good core of Orks to serve as the core of your latest rampaging efforts across the galaxy.
The Orks have had some serious love in the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 and I can't see it stopping any time soon. We've already had rumours of more elite Orks on the way after the Codex preview last week and I would think we might see some more famous faces in the near future too.
Are you going to be snapping up these new multi-part plastic Ork Boyz?

I want to see the sprues first. The “new boyz” that they pushed out (but thankfully kept the “old boyz”), were AWFUL. More jigsaw puzzle kits and zero ability to properly kitbash means those boxes are garbage. I have three on my shelf that I’ve stripped of anything useful, the rest is useless.
If these go back to legs, torso, arms, head, then they will be fine. If not, HARD PASS.
I don’t understand GW’s obsession with the “jigsaw” kits. They’re annoying to build and, as you said, it’s nearly impossible to do any bashing or customizing with them without also being a decent green stuff sculptor. I guess it’s the only way they can get those dynamic poses?
Still, I’ll take options over hyper-dynamism any day; I want my guys to look like soldiers, not weird statues.
