About the Project

I have a longer term aspiration to recreate the Mechanicus and Mechanicus 2 video games on the tabletop. For now, a toe-dip in that direction by painting up the Adeptus Mechanicus Battleclade Kill Team.

I theory the Adeptus Mechanicus are my favourite Warhammer 40k faction.  Since the launch of the model range I have had somewhat mixed feelings about it – some of the range is a bit goofy and not to my taste.  So its fair to say I’ve struggled to build a full 40k army that I am happy with.

This Kill Team however, is pretty much spot on for me.  It is reminiscent of the characters in the Mechanicus and Mechanicus 2 video games, and I do like the vibe of those games.

So I have bought it, painted it, and who knows – maybe one day I’ll get a game in with them!

Assembling the models is actually pretty thematic in and of itself for AdMech given tech priests have more mechanical parts than the average washing machine!Assembling the models is actually pretty thematic in and of itself for AdMech given tech priests have more mechanical parts than the average washing machine!
