I have a Gundam model I am modifying for wargaming. Is there a type of Halfords car primer that fills gaps when you spray it on? Thanks in advance.
There is filler primer, but it wont fill a gap it just smooths out surface scratches and is designed to be sanded down afterwards.
How big a gap are you wishing to fill?
i use something called vallejo plastic putty (401) and then prime once dry. i find it to be easier and more convenient that greenstuff
Same as @collins here, filler primer is not going to cut it and would just bring further attention to the gaps. Plastic putty or car body filler than a sand after.
If your talking about the gaps in the shoulder joint , I would add plastic stock cut to shape first , glue in , let dry , then add Vallejo filler , sand smooth , prime and paint . Filler on its own might work depending on size of gap , but I usually add plastic
I second @collins vote… I use it on the Star Wars Legion gaps on most arms and it works great. But it takes some getting used to.
The manufacturer also did a great “how to use” video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUn2xnefo4I
