About the Project
A couple of years ago I picked up Blackpowders Rebellion supplement. from Warlord games. Black powder games are hard to get into as it requires a lot of miniatures and my original thought was to delve into Napoleonics but the rebellion book sparked my imagination.I find the wars for independence to be very interesting and colourful with its variety and setting. This project is a chart of my progress as I began collecting the armies required to recreate the scenarios in the supplement and the terrain involved.

Colonial house
I wanted a larger building to fight in and around after reading about Chew house at German Town. This kit was from Charlie foxtrot models. It comes with no instructions and I think it was missing a roof support but I like the pillars for the porch. I blasted it with a primer but I like the wood showing giving it a natural weathered look. 
Just need to paint the roof 
Battle Report
The peaceful hamlet about to be thought over by the crown and the patriots in a game of muskets and tomahawks. It's difficult to write a battle report as this game doesn't have turns but a card based activation that keeps things rolling and random. The crowns mission was to massacre the civilians and the officer side intrigue was to meet an informant. The patriots had to kill half the enemy force. Their officer brought his wife along 
The American force takes up position and wait for the redcoats to show up
The minute men try and secure the civilians hiding in the houses but the townsfolk flee the board without a shit being fired. 
The crown forces move in to find the informant. The rangers come on at the side and are fired on by the rifleman and take a casualty. They return fire forcing the rifleman to fall back 
The grenadiers march into town into an ambush and take casualties forcing them to take cover behind a fence. Realising their best strength is in melee they rush the continental troops forcing them back. The two opposing officers fight a duel with the crown wining. 
The rangers lend a hand sd the grenadiers clash with repeated patriot attacks. The crown officer flees into the cabin for safety after surviving a vicious melee and discovers his contact inside 
Finally the crown officer jumps out the back door of the cabin and finds the enemy commander and wife and kills both without mercy. All round crown victory Tavern
Another great building from Charlie foxtrot. I have some bar furniture that works really well inside this building. It's another big piece of scenery. I only have one more building I'd like for this project which is a watermill.
Terrain fest winnings
After winning vouchers for terrainfest I got a water mill and this stockade which will work for a few games. 
Next up is the water millWater mill
My second building from my terrain fest winnings. A simple paint jobwith lots of green staining. I might add more water effects later on the wheel. Its another one of those terrain pieces that can be used for multiple games. My water share doesnt really match my other boards but I can work on that.
