Back to the Riddler's henchmen, the faces are not well modelled on these but they are board game pieces and not wargames miniatures.Back to the Riddler's henchmen, the faces are not well modelled on these but they are board game pieces and not wargames miniatures.

Prisoners on the run with Firefly. Happy with how the prisoners turned out, Blazing Orange base and then a dryrbush of Kahdor Red Highlight, with increasing yellow in it. I'm not so happy with Firefly but have too many figures to do at the moment.Prisoners on the run with Firefly. Hulk - no sorry it's Clayface pretending to be The Joker. The skin was very simply a base of Wraithbone from the can and then a wash of AP Green Tone.Hulk - no sorry it's Clayface pretending to be The Joker. Hazmat suit thugs from Scarecrow's gang. I've used the Contrast Yellow, but the orange colour in the shadows is very different from the the yellow, wish it worked better.Hazmat suit thugs from Scarecrow's gang. Hush and Hush, ok so one Hush is Jason Todd (the second Robin, who got killed by the Joker, but death isn't what it used to be in DC).Hush and Hush, ok so one Hush is Jason Todd (the second Robin, who got killed by the Joker, but death isn't what it used to be in DC).

2 different Killer Croc poses, I like them both for different reasons. Two Scarecrows, Prof Pyg and final Victor Zsasz. I think Prof Pyg came out the best from these although I like bits of all of them. I had seen a number of Prof Pyg's with blood splats on the apron and knife, but it's not something I'm that keen on doing. Two Scarecrows, Prof Pyg and final Victor Zsasz. So work has been hectic and I haven’t really felt like lifting my brush up and getting on with the Batman miniatures this month.  I have managed to get finished Black Mask, Solomon Grundy and 4 of the thugs with crowbars.

Next up I elected to paint tweedledum and tweedledee along with the crazy inmates, all from the Arkham Asslyum set.

I wanted to go with the two shade yellow for the shirt and bow-ties so I decided that I would have a try with the Scale75 Instant Colours Range.  These are much more glaze like than the Contrast paints from GW and don’t provide the coverage in one coat, so two coats it was.  SIN09 Estus Yellow for the shirt and then SIN08 Full Healing for the bowtie.  Whilst I was painting with these I decided to add some red to get the orange colour for the trouses of the inmates.  The rest of the colours are the standard Contrast paints from GW.

Well it’s been over a month since I last posted, what happened to July.  The start of the summer holidays and you’d think I could get more done.  Well I did a lot of painting, but it was with a much bigger brush and in 1:1 scale.  Still back to painting finally and I quickly finished off the next 6 Batman figures, including Two-Face and Ra’s Al Ghul.

I’m going to get this lot finished soon I promise.

I managed to crack on with painting two Banes and Mr Bloom’s Gang.  I tried to give the juiced up Bane some green veins and added some Green Tone to the skin (not that it has shown up too well).  For the flesh on the gang members I thinned some Reikland Flesh Shade to try to give a paler flesh colour than normal.
