About the Project
This project is a reimagining of a classic Dwarf army into an all-Slayer force, bringing the fierce and tragic warriors of Warhammer Fantasy to life in a unique and thematic way. Each unit in the army, from the Slayer-Rangers to Slayer-Gyrocopters, has been carefully converted to embody the relentless spirit and tragic honor of the Dwarven Slayers. Beyond just crafting custom models, the project delves deep into the lore, weaving rich narratives and campaigns like "The Cursed Oath" to give this army a distinct identity. This project aims to create a visually striking and deeply immersive army that not only stands out on the battlefield but also tells a compelling story of sacrifice, vengeance, and unyielding resolve.

Apocalypto Dice
I decided to make some matching dice to go with this unique warband of mine
Apocalypto Slayer Warband
As a palette cleanser from my usual schedule, I have been working on a Mordheim Slayer Warband for an upcoming campaign set in the heart of Lustria.
Flying Machines
The Slayer Air Corps assembled for a rare group muster.
- 6 Scoutcopters (4th edition gyrocopters) with Slayer-Pirate pilots
- 6 Gyrocopters (6th edition) with classic Slayer pilots
- 3 Gyrobombers built from Skydrakes by @durgin_paint_forge
- 1 scratch-built Gyro-Chinook
- 1… slightly used crashed Gyrocopter from @laserterrainco
Slayer-Pirate Scoutcopters
Scoutcopters from the newest Dwarf Arcane Journal, and its Expeditionary Force Army of Infamy
I built these models from the classic 4th Edition Gyrocopters, chosen in part because, in my opinion, they already look halfway to being seaplanes. The pilots are converted Long Drong Slayer Pirates, armed with throwing harpoons to match the bolt thrower projectiles across the army.
Key Feature - Crashed Gyrocopter
Once a proud machine of Karak Kadrin, now a frozen scar on the battlefield.
This crashed Dwarven Gyrocopter serves as a Matched Play Special Feature in Warhammer: The Old World — an impassable landmark, heavy with story and grudges.
The pilot remains buckled in, snow and time claiming the wreck, its red-and-green livery still visible beneath chipped paint and weathered metal. Objectives don’t need to be magical to matter — sometimes they’re reminders of what was lost.

Doom 'Seeker' Divers
Scenic Warhammer The Old World photograph of Dwarf Slayer Doom Seeker Divers positioned on a snowy mountainside. Three converted Grudge Thrower war machines crewed by Doomseekers and Slayer Engineers stand among snow-covered trees, with a vast mountain pass in the distance. Harsh winter weather, swirling snow, and strong winds create a bleak Karak Kadrin alpine battlefield atmosphere inspired by Warhammer Fantasy and the Gotrek and Felix novels. These are my Warhammer: The Old World Dwarf Slayer Doom Seeker Divers, counting as Grudge Throwers in my Slayer Army of Karak Kadrin. Entirely 3D designed and 3D printed, they are exactly what they sound like — catapults that launch Doomseekers at the enemy.
Each war machine is crewed by three Slayers:
• A Slayer Engineer
• A Slayer Spotter
• And Ammo No.2… another Doomseeker, converted from the classic Blood Bowl Slayer sculpt
Ammo No.1, of course, is a fully unhinged Doomseeker strapped into the basket and ready for a very short, very glorious flight.
The inspiration comes straight from Black Library’s Orcslayer in the Gotrek & Felix series, where Gotrek launches himself from a Bretonnian merchant vessel onto an Orc ship blockading Barak Varr. Ridiculous? Yes. Very Gotrek? Absolutely.
A little unorthodox for Dwarfs, but firmly Old World fun, and that’s what this army is all about.
