Micro Art Studio has expanded its offering of World War II terrain for your wargames like Bolt Action, Chain of Command, V for Victory and more. You can now punch your way through the soft underbelly of Europe with some fantastic pre-painted terrain that suits Italy.

All of the terrain has been designed to allow you to build those iconic streets from various Italian cities and towns that the Allies and Axis fought over during World War II. From a technical standpoint, each of the buildings comes full "pre-painted" using UV-printing, all on HDF boards that you just need PVA glue to assemble.

Additionally, all of the buildings from this range come with removable floors and entirely playable interiors. You also have transparent window panes and larger buildings that also come with a removable, ruined ground floor if that's the way that you'd like to go.

This then allows you to build the dense, Italian streets that were a warren of connected buildings, balconies, arches and terraces where the enemy could strike from anywhere. It's inspiring stuff for those playing 28mm scale games and looking for an intense skirmish between soldiers without the need to include too many vehicles in the mix.

As well as being useful for representing the twisting, winding streets of Italian urban environments, a few of these (especially the larger buildings) could be used to represent some of the more rural areas of Italy and other portions of the Mediterranean as well.

Plenty of the buildings have space to fit an entire infantry squad inside and I really like the bonus of the transparent acrylic window panes, which add that next level of realism. You could even cut the acrylic in order to make smashed windows. You also have the option to assemble these buildings with open and closed shutters and doors.

As well as being evocative of the clashes between the Allies and the Axis in the larger battles of World War II, this terrain also reminds me a lot of the missions from Sniper Elite where you're sneaking through Italy looking to take down Nazi officers! That makes me think that this terrain would be brilliant when packed with Partisans and an enterprising SEO agent in Karl Fairburne. A perfect set of terrain to use with 02 Hundred Hours, perhaps?

Last but not least, there is also a brilliant set of pre-coloured signage that suits the period and the streets of Italy. Use these to show off different bars, restaurants and more that your soldiers will be fighting over.

I love the idea of doing a 02 Hundred Hours game where the only thing that the Allied player knows to begin with is that they need to go and meet their contact as Bar Marino. From there, things could go wild if they don't watch who they talk to! An inspiring set of terrain from the folks at Micro Art Studio.

As well as being available as separate terrain pieces that you can pick up HERE, you can also buy a bundle which comes with a set of the buildings in one package, so you can get playing with a full street's worth of terrain.

Are you going to be picking up this terrain?
