Painters of War Launches New Competitive Platform for Miniature Painters
June 9, 2026 by avernos
A new online platform dedicated exclusively to miniature painting has officially launched this week, offering hobbyists a dedicated space to showcase their work, compete with fellow painters, and earn recognition within the miniature painting community.
Painters Of War
Called Painters of War, the platform combines miniature galleries with competitive ranking systems designed specifically around painting skill, craftsmanship, and artistic achievement. Users can upload their painted miniatures, participate in head-to-head painting battles, receive votes from the community, and climb global leaderboards.
Unlike general social media platforms, where painted miniatures often compete for attention alongside countless other hobbies and interests, Painters of War has been built specifically for miniature painters. The goal is to create a dedicated environment where hobbyists can display their collections and receive meaningful feedback and recognition from fellow enthusiasts.
One of the platform's headline features is Blitz!, a streak-based competitive mode where winning entries remain active while new challengers attempt to dethrone them. The format is designed to encourage regular participation, highlight standout painting projects, and reward consistency.
Founder Ric Delgado believes the hobby has long lacked a platform focused entirely on celebrating the art of miniature painting.
"Miniature painters invest hundreds or thousands of hours mastering their craft, yet there are surprisingly few spaces designed specifically to celebrate that work," Delgado said. "Painters of War was built to help painters showcase their best work, challenge themselves, and gain recognition within the community."
The launch comes at a time when miniature painting continues to grow across tabletop wargaming, roleplaying games, and collecting communities. As painters increasingly seek dedicated spaces to share their work, improve their skills, and connect with like-minded hobbyists, specialist platforms such as Painters of War offer an alternative to broader social networks.
Whether you're a display painter, gaming hobbyist, or competition veteran, Painters of War aims to provide a new venue where painted miniatures take centre stage. It's been a long time since we've had something to see whether people think that what you've painted is a cool mini or otherwise.
If I had one criticism of the site, it would be that you can't filter by game or type of model. I've often used pages like this in the past for inspiration for how I would paint my own collection, but until then, it's just a great place to trawl through a ton of painted minis while ignoring the boxes behind you.

“A site to rate peoples paint jobs” 2.0? Like… Cool Mini Or Not but without the crowdfunding? XD PS: I don’t have boxes behind me to ignore. Those are boardgames. The boxes in question are to my right. Most of them.
oh I never even thought of that but yes I could see how it could be like them, although PoW haven’t destroyed any games yet
