I’ve seen glue mentioned once or twice.  I assumed it was to stick sub assemblies together, but now I see Elegoo sell it.  Google says its to help stick prints to the build plate.  Is this something I need to do?  I’ve not seen this mentioned before.  Do I have to use special glue, or are there budget equivalet (Pritt stick?)

My adult children bought me an FDM printer for my birthday last month. It is an Elegoo Centauri Carbon printer. I think it is last years model as there is a Centauri Carbon 2 now that can have more than one colour of filament.

No, certain filaments are affected by moisture. That’s why some people keep it vacuum sealed or have a filament dryer.
