We got to talk with the designers behind Gale Force 9's new Firefly game, Browncoats & Brigands.
This seems like a great way to get invested with the world of Firefly and play out some favourite adventures.
You could also win a bundle of Gale Force 9 goodies by commenting on any of their videos over the weekend where you could win Star Trek: Ascendancy Expansions, A Con Exclusive Naked Mal & Four D&D Collectors Miniatures!
This is one of those games I’m interested in.
The firefly game looks really interesting.
I have heard good thinsg about that Star Trek boardgame and that Firefly boardgame looks also great.

I keep hoping someday someone reboots the Firefly TV series.
This game seems to have some interesting and at least new to me mechanics.
Is there any kind of legacy system to this or are they one-off games? Either way I think I’m probably sold.

The turn order mechanism is really interesting, I like that a lot, could add a lot to the game. I love well crafted missions, my only concern, as ever with a mission based game, is replayability.

Looks interesting
A big yes to this one.
A great first glimpse at the game and I love the mix of the “old” (three symbols representing tech, social and combat, with misbehave challenges offering two options per card based on those symbols) and “new” (that really great initiative system and the dual state of the player models).
I have had maybe a hundred hours of fun out of the original game and I look forward to racking up a similar play time with my buddies once this comes out!

The best scifi show ever canceled before its prime. I still weep over it. Glad to see a game allowing us to relive the classic feel of the show.
Killed off in its prime – lest we forget.
I know everyone is over the moon with FFGs Star Wars Legion and while I’m prob alone I’m much more interested in this.
This is on my short list for end of year purchases.
Really like the mechanics on this one.
Firefly: Browncoats and Brigands is looking like a nice little skirmish game to get that may spiral into a gotta collect them all game.

I have the first Firefly game, my sister and I set it up and the began to read the rules. We never actually ended up playing as going through the rules took us for ever to do. Next time Ill just set up and start playing and attack rules as needed. Just need to find me a crew. lol

There is some real innovation in activation sequencing and use of time in these new games – really changing up how you approach things!
One of the guys recently brougt their firefly game to the club, it made me want a miniature game as well as the ship one, now this is here! Its like fate!
I really like the idea if using one character during a scene from the show. The fact the building come with it too is awesome!

Another one to add to my Christmas wish list.
Saw this in person at Gencon. The figures look great… pots of detail in the faces and they look just like the actors. Game play also look fun… definitely on want list.
Game looks good, definitely want to see a demo.

Just when I thought I had enough “dungeon crawlers.” The turn sequence is real nice, and I love the idea of casual vs heroic actions. This is a must for me.

It really sounds like ‘playing’ through one of the episodes. This could be great fun. Hopefully the time to play one mission is a little bit shorter than a full round of Firefly, so we get to play it more often.
Never got round to trying the space ship game… won’t make the mistake of missing this one when it comes out!

Suddenly I am a lot more interested in the firefly game than I expected to be! The turn order mechanic sounds really interesting and it coming with a bunch of terrain helps!
Love the idea of packed in terrain and really like that they made it so you can stow it away again nicely
I really enjoyed the series of Firefly but the previous game didn’t really get my attention, but this one I like. I think this is going to be a lot more cinematic and I like the fact that you get to play an individual character. I also like the casual vs heroic play style. I think this is going to be a lot of fun and maybe be a bit more like an RPG in some ways, nice.

GF9 is really ramping up their game! I have to say, Browncoats and Brigands has to be one of the games I am MOST looking forward too actually playing; and those D7D minis are just gorgeous!

I loved the boardgame, the TV series, the movie so this is a must buy for me. I think I can drag my family into playing this cooperatively with me and would love to paint up these minis. This is going to be awesome.

There was no end to my delight at this booth. Both preview for Star Trek ascendancy, Dr Who with nearly all the Drs there (I’m told they eventually will be) and of course the firefly miniatures game that can be worked into the previous game. Win, win, win!
