Go Soviets… for the Eggplants!

lol if your wife stays with the Americans i can see a lot of chores coming your way

mo3355

Never agree to winner takes all! Best 2 out of 3 then 3 out of 5 etc etc….those dishes and laundry can wait

krieger

Would be interesting to now his feel for flying just the two Hinds. Is two Hinds no Hinds, or might it be enough of an oomph? I feel a full 6 Hinds might be the magic number.

krieger

If for no other reason than they are awesome..

rollsk1

6 Hinds or go home. You need that number versus the cobra hunter killer cheez;)

krieger

Happy to hear I’m not alone in my analysis! It also seems really cost effective as long as you can avoid AAA.

rollsk1

Build a Hind Schwere punkt and see how long the cobras will hold^^

fox40

Overall the game has a lot of fow in it, but that’s no bad thing. I like the unit cards and simpler points system compared to fow

fireblarney

Great way to settle arguments 🙂

zetazot

A domestic Cold War that goes hot sometimes on the home front… Sounds like domestic bliss.

izeman82

war over aubergines…. what has the world come to!

bitrider

I wonder if Eggplants could be used as a Molotov Cocktail?

benc

I am using two Hinds as I’ve not built the other 4! That’s because I don’t want the great models to get damaged on the plane flight home. The air units are not an automatic I Win button. The game will really shine with the upcoming releases, combined arms is the way to go.

rael

Battling to settle arguments, hmmm.

majorswotwot

Those are some great looking pieces of terrain

Love the idea of using war games as argument settlers… If only I could get the wife into war gaming….

thardinger

You can do it BEN!!!

andre61

Looks like everybody had some fun

britfran45

definitely great to see how popular the Soviets are in this era. Our group has a nice mix of NATO/warsaw pact forces and I expect this to continue when more sides are released.

normandyfan

Looks like a lot of fun

neaceul

I do like how he thought he needed to think about the special rules instead of just going gung-ho. Team Yankee, from what I’ve seen so far, is a very tactical game.

sircaroon15

Ben C is quite right, you can’t just roll down and expect to win, the ratio of soviets vs US is not great enough to support that. You have to use the terrain to your advantage.

zorg

it may be close for everyone on the tables.
not a bad thing everybody wins.

lorddraconum

Would like to be playing on these boards looks fun.

fjhamming

Its a real pitty that you couldnt finish those hinds. Do you think this is (also) a reason you struggled with the battles?

benc

I don’t think I struggled due to the lack of Hinds, I don’t think I struggled at all. In our games we were all keen to get stuck into the enemy and trade shots. I won a prize for killing every unit my Oppenent had on the table so the Russians are not a second class force.

spaced2020

Excellent to hear as they are certainly my preference for play style and aesthetic from what I have seen. Thanks for chipping in on the thread.

roboute73

Can just see that game meta will = Hinds.

Thanks for the interview!
