Lovely miniature and nice color scheme! I’m looking forward to seeing how you did the drooly, watery base. Any suggestions on how to make a miniature look wet, like fresh blood or slime? This mini has inspired me to finally paint that old Crypt Wurm that’s been crawling around my unpainted bin for some time now and I’d like it to be a bit slimy. Always looking for new painting challenges!
Thanks !
A wet look can be achieved by using gloss varnish in select places (over painted streaks of water, or blood, or drool, or an eye, or teeth, for example).
You can also use artificial water (from any brand… Vallejo makes some, as well as Basecrafts and Games Workshop, choose the texture you need). This is ideal for puddles and still water, and you can even sculpt waves in some of the Vallejo water pastes.
For a slimier look for drool streaks, very small amounts of transparent glue work fine, but you’ve got to be very very careful about placement !
Have fun painting… That’s what minis are for !
