Battle tech it is not!
yup, a game that doesn’t require a slide ruler and a degree in calculus I think we can all get on board with that
Yup Gerry.
Bot War, Bot War, BOT WAR!
A great looking setup and a game that doesn’t take all weekend to play.
Also bring back Saturday morning cartoons.
Yay for a bot war smack down roborumble fabulous game’s video Guy’s.
Looks a nice simple system, as said Battletech it’s not, but alas I went to the darkside along time ago.
Great “lets play”, showed off a lot of the mechanics and including the combiners at the end was a real treat.
One of the best things about Bot War though is having a range of strategy ratings on each side to stagger the activation order as this really adds a layer to the tactics used, as is the energy management and distribution in the “power up” phase as you sometimes have to gamble loading cubes onto a bot that activates much later in the turn that may get taken out by early activators.
Hope we get to see more soon, loving the paintjobs on those bots Gerry.
Great as always! I’m getting into 6mm sci fi right now and simple systems are best for me (even though I’m a maths teacher). I’d like to see a quick intro to the terrain ei. where’s it from? Was it dropzone stuff? I think BoW used to do that in the old days at the start of the play vids.
We’ve actually discussed adding the mat and terrain to the description. The only issue will be some of it is no longer available to buy. But then if we told you that would that save people looking for stuff they can’t get or annoy people? Probably both. In this case I believe its 4grounds 10mm range that worked with dropzone
