Well am sitting in Cafe area waiting for Kevin to arrive before setting up our Naval Demo game. So far not a too promising start as Asgard had a water leak which shorted the electrics to Fridges so no Cafe till around 4pm plus Andy one of players has dropped ill and won’t be coming.
But we will carry on will post photos as day goes on.
Well as usual got carried away and forgot to take photos.
This is the table as it was for the point the Japanese called it.

Very nice table spread.
Any chance of a little write-up on which rules used, models used, and so on?
Thanks for sharing! ??

I was a bit limited when posting as the effect of the Water leak had taken out WiFi and Internet was slow.
Battle was a fictional forces at Java Sea , Repulse and Prince of Wales had not been caught and sunk with the fall of Singapore and had joined the ABDA forces at Java. The Japanese had responded with 2 Kong Class Battlecruisers.
The Rules were Warlords Victory At Sea as Asgard sells those, though the ship models were a mix of GHQ and CinC 1/2400th , the later don’t seem to be in production anymore.
The ABDA forces did way better than historically , with the Criser Squadron sinking one of the Japanese Light Cruisers early on, then 3 British Destroyers got in Close to the Japanese Battlecruisers crippling the Kongo, Prince of Wales chewed up the one of the Japanese Heavy Cruisers and Repulse sank the crippled Kongo. The Japanese at this point began to pull away, but in the exchange lost another Light Cruiser, and had another Heavy Cruiser mauled , but managed to sink one of the Dutch Cruisers either Torps.
Thanks for the extra info!
I’m curious, what do you like the most about the rules for “Victory at Sea”, and what do you like the least of those same rules?
I’ve eyeballed those rules but not bought into the system yet. I value the input from someone who’s either invested their own money or at least their own time into playing with that ruleset.
Thanks!
They are quick to play, and easy to Learn, You get a fairly comprehensive ship stats list for most of the major nations at the back including some what ifs.
The rules have an interesting cascade critical damage system, for instance the 4 Torpedoes that hit the Kongo did quite a lot of damage initially, and scored 3 critical the resulting effects escalated the damage enough that she became crippled.
Main drawback is that its a d6 system which tends to make gunnery to accurate.
