Packed with a huge selection of scenery, the Fantasy Battlefield Pack includes 3D flat-topped hills, neoprene terrain templates, pre-coloured building kits, and durable plastic scatter terrain such as walls and trees. Designed with accessibility in mind, it offers enough terrain to fill a full 6' x 4' gaming table while requiring very little hobby experience to assemble and use. In this relaxed and positive review, Gerry unboxes the set, explores the quality of the contents, and looks at how well it works for Kings of War and other fantasy tabletop games.

Excellent review, thank you. This is a great set and perfect for a competitive play system like KoW. With this provided by the manufacturer there can be no arguments about fairness or local setups favouring one side or the other. I think the price point is reasonable and even at full retail you can get this set and the mat for less than £150 and far less if you go to Wayland.
It is an interesting mix of different items. The card stock buildings looks great and very easy to put together. I have the mantic walls and trees already and they are pretty decent. My only worry is the vac formed hills look very thin i worry it would be easy for someone to lean on and split the plastic.
I dunno, this collection looks cheap but barely cheerful. The buildings are rickety, the bendy plastics are the same Terrain Crate stuff from years & years ago, and the “hills” look like takeout containers turned upside down. Credit to Mantic for trying to do a “battlefield in a box” but I would be disappointed if this is what I opened.
It looks like a reasonable set for a starting player, just setting out in their gaming hobby. Enough to get on the table, not have to worry about crafting terrain and more interesting than plain foam, or discount Christmas trees from the bargain bin in January.
Good set off terrain for gaming with 👍
