Darrell, good work on the pronunciation of the Heitairoi. Don’t worry, Humanist Alliance has a lot of tongue-twisters. 🙂 Sagitarrius striders, the Dragon striders, the Naga, they call the Hussar the Ippikos… yes, the Humanist Alliance likes their big stuff.
And the Emirs are funky, but because of their cash and their background they can take either North or South. Their army building is a little different (hopefully with the new field guide this will remain), but definitely cool for the person who wants to roll with a private army of their own.
The interesting thing about mentioning the MP Cadres… they are also very useful for corraling the Convicts in the MILICIA. And while you can give them the on-the-job training… dropping from a Skill of 2d6 to 1d6, you’ll have to have those tougher MP Cadres.
And yes, they don’t use as many guided munitions as their Northern counterparts, but they do have plenty of indirect-fire to make up for it in the form of the grenade launchers, their rocket pods, and also with very light field guns that can be attached to their Cobra fire support Gears.
Ooooh iv Sooooo got to buy more HG bits.
heres a pic my 1st Heavy Gear miniature…

Classic Command Jager. Like the reverse grip on the vibroblade, very cool. 🙂 Just wait until you start toying around with Black Mambas and Black Adders and Cobras and Sagis and Iggies and… and… all of’em! 😀
Thank you 🙂
ive got so much stuff on my wish list its unbelievable, HG just looks totally amazing!
i just need to get my LGC interested, on so many occasions ive invested in new games and minis only to find myself no opponants and after a while the collection just ends up on ebay but im hoping BoW HG week will change all that and hopefully itll raise a bit of hype my end.
ive sooo got my eye on a Support Cobra just that underarm gatling gun looks utterly Awesome!
I’ll hope the same for your sake as well as my own and the company’s, fth. I would like to see more folks express interest in the game and also create some larger tournaments in the major cities around the world. We’ll see how things go, though, won’t we? 🙂 Praying for the best!
