@limburger Will Schick is the founder of Atomic Mass and designer of mcp so he does know the games.  This will be the third shift in role.  Not heard the other name possibly the Asmodee handler

The optic of here is an new project off the back of our last new one is going to maintenance is not great

It sounds positive for Legion which is my primary game, so selfishly ok

I do wonder though if we (as wargamers) place too much on the expectation of continual development.  The osprey games often stand alone.  I have been doing a hobby sort out and starting to question my need for the new thing.  I have a lot of projects that I still wish to finish, and can find games for older systems.  I find an appeal in this being a “complete” project,  Almost like a boxed game that can be pulled out and played.

Tangent aside and getting back on topic I guess this comes to the expectation set, but if a studio released a game and said heres the game it will be released over 3 years then just recieve occassional updates would it sell?
