Fight For A Corrupted Bastion With New TTCombat CHROMA Terrain
June 17, 2026 by brennon
TTCombat expanded their offerings from their CHROMA line of pre-painted/pre-coloured Sci-Fi terrain recently. You can now get your hands on some corrupted and twisted terrain that wouldn't look out of place in the depths of a hive city or on a battlefield conquered by the forces of Chaos in Warhammer 40,000.
Bastion Gateway // TTCombat
As with all of the CHROMA terrain from TTCombat, it is based on 3mm MDF and then treated with UV ink, meaning that you don't have to do any painting. Just assemble the terrain and away you go. The terrain should fit wargaming at 28mm scale but also 32mm scale, covering a wide range of different Sci-Fi wargames.
The Bastion Gateway gives you a seriously imposing fortress entrance for you to battle over, with space on the top for a bunch of units to rain down fire on attackers. You also get a series of barriers in the set, which could be good for putting down cover for those advancing on the gate.
You can also get your hands on more of the Traitor Bastion, as you can see here.
Bastion Traitor // TTCombat
This gives you a bit more elevation for your games and the tower where you could situate a few key units, like commanders or snipers. Whilst I know a lot of folks will be looking at this terrain as good for your mass battle games, I think it would also be great for the horrid depths of a hive city, where a cult has taken root. This would be perfect for something Necromunda-focused with a bit of a Darktide twist.
Talking of Necromunda, the following terrain would be great for those setting up terrain to suit the Corpse-Grinder Cults.
Gore Pits // TTCombat
You have the lovely-sounding Gore Pits, where the dead bodies of the slain are taken to be turned into something that approximates food for the rest of the gangers down there in the depths of the hive. I don't think that it would be fun to fall in there so make sure to remove the gratings for extra fun when playing your games.
You can also get your hands on the ace Gore Channels, which are equally glorious in their grimdarkness.
Gore Channel // TTCombat
Mix the Gore Pits and the Gore Channels together and you've got the makings of a fun scenario where you might end up having to save one of your gangers from being turned into corpse starch by the enemy gang!
Even the depths of the hive need power to make sure that all of the machinery works and you can also pick up a set of Plasma Generators and Power Nodes from TTCombat.

Whilst these will be good for adding some colour to the otherwise grimdark aesthetic of your tabletop, they could also be fun as scenario objectives in your games. I like the idea of someone having to go and blow up some of these with their troops, stealing through the twisting traitor fortress so they don't draw the ire of the occupants.
A great set of terrain for Warhammer 40,000 but this would also be great for a range of other Sci-Fi games where you want to showcase the darker factions of the setting.
What do you think of the newly-added CHROMA terrain?

Looks nice. But not really screaming “buy me”.
Oh nostalgia. I loved the 1990s GW bastion and firebase, back when pre-printed card buildings were the in thing.
