About the Project
In this project I'll be taking my fledgling steps into Marvel Crisis Protocol. I'll be trying out some techniques and paints I've never used before. Wish me luck.

Iron Man part 3
Queue up some Black Sabbath, Iron Man is done. Check out that fluoro, I love how that turned out.
Iron Man part 2
I painted all the bits that weren’t red or white with a coppery gold colour. Which I washed with a light coat of agrax.
I then hit all the white parts with some greenstuff world fluorescent blue.
After that I went on to do the base.
Iron Man part 1
Working off a zenithal prime I blocked in the red. Which I then shade with purple. Once dry I drybrushed on my original red, then proceed to highlight up through orange to a very light drybrush of yellow. I also painted any energy parts and the eyes white.
America **** Yeah!
I’d lost my light (or stuck my head in the way) when I took these but anyway here’s Captain America in all its glory.
Captain America part 2
Next I tackled the shield. The red and blue were already done from earlier, so this step was relatively quick. For the white on the shield I used mystic white from green stuff world. It’s a really white silver colour that almost has a pearl like colour to it. I think it looks great.
I also did the underside of the shield in a silver, which I shaded with some nuln oil.
Next came the detailing. I painted the white parts of Cap’s uniform with Ulthuan grey (it’s a really good almost white). I also painted all the straps and pouches with a flat brown. I used the same silver for all the metal bits on his webbing and a copper for his belt buckle, then hit the webbing with a wash of agrax.
Last step was to do the base, which I approached in the same way as Spidey.
Captain America part 1
I started Cap in much the same way as Spidey, with the blue. The only difference is used a dark blue wash as opposed to a purple one.
I also painted his face.
I blocked in the red next, then washed it with a purple wash. Once that had dried I highlighted it back up.
Spiderman part 3
And here he is, one finished Spiderman. I did the base in various greys, going from dark to light. Admittedly I forgot to paint the base rim before I took the pictures, but I can assure you it’s black now.
