I am liking the lower page count on the rulebook. Still going though Flames of war WW2 book and Vietnam.
Nice looking rule book
Nice book looking forward to the release
Love the paint guides in there…
The artworks and visual parts of this manual are gorgeous…and the rules are really concise and lightned for ww2 fow
Looking forward to my copy!
The paint guide looks awesome – and the stat cards are spot on idea.
Nice book. Even better that you dont need it all the time!
Look like great fun!
I haven’t see no pre view about BMPs, it’s just me or we haven’t one yet?
Oo it is a hardcover! Damit i want it to be the 12 of december so i can get the book. I just love the changed to arty it is a small change but i really like it!
I’ve always shyed away from real world/ historical gaming but this game has got me interested. Though this isn’t necessarily ‘real’, I know.
Saw a demo copy at a shop here in the States. Really good.
My local store has a copy and the painting guides are really helpful.
So pretty…
Great looking book.
Love the large rulebook in flames of war, but I think this one will be easier to get other people in my gaming groupe to try out team yankee which is a huge plus for me.
Stat cards are also great in my opinion.
Hope they will release some good paint bundles like in FOW
Sooo looking forward to getting my own copy
beautiful looking book, cant wait to get a copy
I really want a good book review of Team Yankee that covers changes to the rules in-mass, the stat cards look good and can work for Team Yankee but if FoW was to go to stat cards would it work without changing what makes the army’s different?
Those unit cards are going to be a big help.
The game mechanic seems interesting, the cards are a real value added. Great book!
Sounds really interesting ….
The book looks great and the stat cards will make the game play much smoother.
The flames of war rule book has to be the most user friendly and well laid out rule book there is. So I hope this one lives upto that high standard
Nice book and he was right about the cards. EVERY game should have those. They are sooo amazing. Not only for yourself, but also to allow your opponent to check what you field.
Nothing less than I expected from Battlefront
I love my WW2 flames, has given me some of the best tabletop moments I’ve had in a long time. However its a chunky book and a steep learning curve based on simple mechanics yes but still a lot to take in. So I’m hoping team Yankee can get a few more new people in playing the game and finding out what great fun battlefront games are, there books are always well presented with lots of info, the inclusion of some paint guides in this book is a great idea too..
love cards!
Looking forward to getting a copy. Also starting to feel a little old. Gaming an era that one is a vet of is a little different 🙂 Granted WW3 didn’t happen(yet anyway) but in the 80’s this was the game plan 🙂
Ahhhh this looks good. Maybe sell my 15mm sci fi and get this? could always get the rule book and proxy lol
Ordered my rule book yesterday. I like the idea of condensed rules. This sounds like a more simple approach. We shall see.
I don’t mind the streamlined Team Yankee game.. however I hope BF doesn’t mess with FoW with this kind of ‘streamlining’. I like FoW and its derivatives as is.
boys verses bears sounds interesting
I really like the way the picture diagrams explain how certain rules work. Other games should take note. It really helps reduce confusion when learning a new game.
God you have to love simple rules with complex strategy.
I like the stat cards.
Great visuals in the rulebook. Justin, you’re spot on about the reference cards. Every game should have them.
Fantastic looking book!!! Can’t wait to see more!!! Keep it coming guys!!!
Loving the scenarios and artwork!!!
Stat cards are a nice way forward for all sorts of games, to be honest. I’d love to see them show up in other systems.
I am so envious. I was hoping to have the rule book this weekend but as we all know that got delayed. Cant wait to get it in my hands and see all the changes. Very excited about this game.
That map has some errors… The Baltic states are shown as separate though they were part of the USSR at the time and Romania has its pre-WWII borders from before the Soviet annexation of Bessarabia. Ah well, mistakes happen. 😛 Everything looks pretty good, as usual with the books.
This all sound very interesting and I really like the stat cards for your units.
Sounds an interesting set of rules
Nice looking rulebook, I’m a big fan of reference cards as well.
I like the idea. Of the cars to track the info.
It looks like another great product from Battlefront
The rule book looks clean and straight forward.
That’s a really nice looking rulebook. For anyone who played over the weekend, did it do as good a job explaining things at it seems it would from this glance?
great looking rule book
looking better each day…
Nice overview of the game and rules book. As you spoke of helicopters it braught me mind of a Polish (?) game called Hind Commander. Cold War to modern, rather simple. Could be used to dive deeper into the airbattle part of the game with choppers and palner, keeping the infantry and tanks on the ground but not main fokus.
Actually I also thought, can the tanks fire at choppers in Team Yankee? as they sertainly do in real life. The fear of modern tank crews often lies in fast aircraft such as the A-10 or jets.
That’s something I’m wondering too. We were trained to take shots against choppers with the main gun. The M1’s fire controls aren’t as good as a AAA gun’s for fast moving targets, but they can do the job very nicely at times. It’s more the elevation that’s a possible issue. However we did it a lot during training and my tank scored chopper kills with the main gun at NTC. The gun is better, way better, at killing ground targets, but it can do the job and it made the chopper jocks keep a respectable distance.
Great illustrations and photos and the lower number of pages to read is a great point for me. Hate having to keep flicking back and forward through loads of pages during a game
That book is too pretty, I that’s it I need that book!
Surely a great artwork as usual on fow products, also card makes faster gameplay.
Nice done.
