I think I have based these on the wrong base or misunderstood the mmc an pmc

Phatoms

 

base= 125 by 50

yet the single base is 20 by 20

 

Also:

anyone know how to resize the file to 5mb as per to conform: forum size limit

Phantoms are heavy infantry 25*25 single , so mmc is 6 pmc is 8. 125*50 is correct.

just getting 7 onto the base was a mission, as you can see they look very very cluttered an imho would look even worst if basing 8 onto that base.

 

Is pmc is tournament rules?

every tournament has their own rules pack, most are happy with MMC, Mantic are planning on moving to PMC for their own tournaments but that only applies to two in the calendar so your best option is to ask the local community where you play what the standard in your area is

Don’t forget Cool Model Count is most preferred. Decorate the open spaces with something applicable and Kool.

Prefered model count is75% of total model count rounded up. Minimum moder count is next size unit down plus 1.

pmc on a 20 regiment unit is 15 models, mmc would be 11 as the troop size is 10.
