I’m tempted to say that the vast majority of companies within our hobby are ok.

The exceptions are all the more heart breaking.

As for Kickstarter as a company … I’d say Southpark had a good episode about that 😉
That’s why I’d rather trust the company doing the kickstarter instead of the crowdfunding platform itself.
