I like the corner piece with the chest in it.
Darrell still thinks its April Fools Day lol. Nice keep though, very cool piece of terrain for a nice centre piece. Would be good for a skirmish game – and with that chest it would be ace for Cutlass!
Could be a ruin Conquistador Keep and the pirate bands are racing to get the treasure.
Looks like a nice piece. It’s also not a bad size for £20.
I went to go find out where my closest keep was located, so I could get the gold inside as Darrell suggested. Then I remembered that I live in the US, and we don’t have any keeps. I know where my local Indian burial mound is, but I can’t dig that up, that’d be mean.

Not sre why a keep has so many windows, and then arrow slits in between, but overall it looks the part. Would put a few plants growing in the crevices and maybe a young tree or two growing in the ruins.
I would also have the arch as fallen with some grasses and plants starting to overgrow it.
The proportions don’t look correct on the base imho

And yet no one is suprised that Darrell knows The Hoff.
Personally, I would be tempted to splash out a little more for the Pegasus Hobbies Ruined Castle Wall and Ruined Castle Turret sets, as the windows on those don’t require work to see through, and they’re pre-painted for the lazy among us.
Otherwise I’d say this looks like a decent set, and the convenience of having it all in the one box, along with the reasonable price of £20, is quite attractive.
I hate to say it. Yet I feel I must. I don’t play fantasy so this scenery isn’t really my bag. But no matter what the subject I will watch any video that Darrell does. I’m addicted. And the reason I MUST watch, is to see at what point Darrell verbally assaults Justin during the video. It’s hysterical. And for whatever reason it’s funny every time as is any joke among friends. Thanks for all the entertainment lads in all the things you do. This site has brought humor and soul back from some of the gamer critics who would only seek to complain that things weren’t exactly the way they wanted them. While I would never speak for everyone, I got into the hobby because it was both funny and fun. And I am ever grateful that there is a community that remembers to keep it that way. My best to you all and your families, and thank you.
@spaderfish – thanks for the support… we do this for the love of gaming (it’s certainly not to get rich 🙁 ) and yes… because gaming should be fun and funny… it’s entertainment after all!
It’s also why we believe that there should be a bit of glamour and star quality in the gaming scene. Meeting the guys who write the books and sculpt the minis that absorb so much of our time and getting them on film, is all part of the fun.
We want to see a return to the glory days that I remember when I was a kid and I saw a stunning sculpt or read a fantastic book and dreamt one day of meeting one of these guys or… maybe… just maybe… that it would be me. 😉

I had one of these about 12 years ago and to me the scale is a tad small for 28mm but as bombkangaroo and others have said for £20 its not bad, there are better pieces out there. You pays your money you takes your choice.
I’ve got one of these. Must have bought it 10 or 15 years ago. It’s a nice little kit and as Darrel says it’s not too hard to putty up some bricks on the back of the arch. I kept mine as seperate components as it’s much easier to store or turn them into a section of defensive wall etc. Good piece.
And still a good price as well for what you get. Drilling out the windows wasn’t too hard either and gives you a much nicer look.
