Good to hear some other takes on the amount of games out there. I agree that the 800lb gorilla of GW is by and large a staple which makes other games difficult to play. I agree with the uphill issue of finding games to play which are quite niche. I find that the cheerleading for a game is difficult if you don’t keep at it even with lack of other players.
I used to play Malifaux. That was popular in the store I played until the hype train fell off. The same thing had been the case with Mordheim and Blood Bowl in the long long ago. Right now SAGA AoM is what I push and try to keep people interested in. The fragmented community of interest and lack of dedication to “non-GW-standard” really is a hassle. We’re all unpopular kids trying to get other unpopular kids interested in playing unpopular games.
And by the by screw my brother’sdog once more for eating my DAS. He blames me for not keeping it secure enough. I have words about this
