Follow-up answer:  I have a dedicated hobby room.  That said the capacity to make mess is severely restricted as the house is for sale so it has to be returned to ‘show standard’ at a day’s notice.  I’ve had to pack away my airbrush station and about half of my paints as they cluttered the place up too much.  I’m looking forward to moving when I’ll have less space but, as I  live on my own, I can have my hobby spread out a bit across the other rooms.   I’ll still keep hobby out of the bedroom though, just like I don’t have TV or internet enabled devices in their either.  You need somewhere to go where all of that mental noise, good or bad, isn’t there.
