A Box Set Literally Bursting With Tanks

If you thought Battlefront Miniatures couldn’t possibly fit any more tanks in a box then you are spectacularly wrong!

Chris from Battlefront Miniatures takes Justin through the British Starter Force box set which includes Shermans, Churchill tanks and a Firefly for good measure.

Out of the Big 4 starter sets I like the British the most i think. Followed by the
Soviets
American
German
Nice price point too

astralwraith

so many tanks – (and other stuff too)

lawnor

That is a lot of plastic!

lblunchboxlb

It’s nice that a Firefly is included. They’ll be pretty useful on the table!

pagan8th

Forgot about those been gun carriers. Used to have lot of airfix kits as a kid and bren gun carrier was one of them.

olliep

Cromwells and some more Fireflies and you’re good to go I think

krowek

Nice gift for any man. We all like TANKS.

lordbob

These are turning in ‘Story time with Justin’. 🙂

wolf320f

it has to be americans for me but i do like the bren carriers

i love that its in diffrent colour plastic, depending on the army you play

jodain

The British force looks good, I like the variant options on the sprues. Flamethrowers here we come!

tredhed

I am REALLY liking the look of the British set.

Its a really tough call for me on where to start, Hit the Beaches, German, or British starters.

zorg

what a great not so little box.

poland825

I like a good firefly

doomdark

British then German for me

bristolpirate

Yeah, tanks are definitely the stars of FoW

gmatt55

army in a box. wow!

bloodstrike

British starter looks to be giving the most options for expanding it feels

khy0te

Sweet you can make crocodiles!

mattcapp112

Nice set, but give me the germans!

coachjose59

Never really been into the British but this is ah nice starter set……maybe!

deadhead

lots of british goodness

darkdanegan

Phwoor – I do love the clatter of fresh sprues in the morning!

skodamarine

That is a very nice box of plastic goodness!

andre77

Lovely box full of Thommys. Prefer Soviets.

goatberger

Is it wrong to buy yourself something for Father’s day?

brucelea

So this is the one that has me tempted. I really want the Churchills for conversions and the rest will nicely round off my current armoured unit.

Re: firing the Bren, I had the LMG as my personal weapon in the late eighties, basically the same as a Bren but deliberately made less accurate (or so we were told) so that it behaved more like a support weapon rather than the automatic sniper rifle that the Bren reportedly was. Great fun to fire, an absolute bitch to carry and yes you are right the gunner spread the joy by giving everyone a few 30rnd mags. The number 2 also carried his SLR plus a box of Ten mags which was super light………..NOT!

crazyredcoat

I love the Carriers, always have done. They are just so great. Shame we don’t get more British tanks, though.

jemmy

The British box is the one for me. With so many tanks it is easy to put an Arnhem/Bridge Too Far army together.
I´ve got Germans and Americans already. Still, where are the Japanese?

while

I kind want to start a British force really bad..

petey9

Look at all that lend-lease 😉

tmon

That is a large starter set!!

scorpia

Nice to see that the models have been designed to be historically accurate while still being suitable for gaming.

antiquitas

Always loved the little Bren gun carrier. My favorite kit when I was a kid.

fireblarney

Nicely packed starter boxes

basilbrush

it goes on the list

buggeroff

plastic infantry, ahh crap!! so have to get this or 2 for September – bridge too far…..

falerox

All of these “Big Four” boxes are a great value, I’m still leaning towards the Germans, but I’m liking the variety here.

gideon7v20

British boffins in WW2 were undoubtedly some of the most creative in the world. Like Justin, I love the Sherman Firefly. A pity we did not have more of these available during the war. The British are my Allied army of choice.

gideon7v20

The British boffins of WW2 were definitely some of the most creative of any nation. The Sherman Firefly is one of my favourite tanks and the British are undoubtedly my Allied army of choice.
