Pledge: Spend loads of money at UK Games Expo 🙂
Only historical games I have are Bolt Action, 0200 Hours and Flames of War.
Don’t really have an opinion on historical recruitment. Just play the games you like.

Hi Folks,
I’m looking for accounts of the The Battle of Montlhéry 1465, during the War of the Public Weal in English (yep, I’m aware of Wikipedia 🙂 ).
Better still, a wargames scenario of some sort that I could maybe translate- that to go along beside my research?
If you can help- or are exceptionally good at translating French, please do g…[Read more]

Anything that gets people to learn about history can help society to HOPEFULLY not make the same mistakes in the future.
I agree with you there but that wasn’t really the question 😉 @templar007

I personally have a different take on this, it’s more to do with the availability of plastic 28mm figures than if the game fits into a fantasy or historical genre. In terms or overall gameplay I see no difference […]

Pledge: Finish work on a monster and start another
Here goes for a big think on the topic
Historical wargaming recruitment, I don’t think there’s much that can be done to catch the fancy of people without their initial interest and some well painted minis on a board. I agree with the previous sentiments of of the built-in interest of old guys. I…[Read more]

I acquiesced. $1185 CAD later, thank god for veteran’s affairs Canada payments for damages incurred. They broke me, they can pay for me. Or whatever.
Heading to Banff to camp for the next week. Enjoy all, wherever you are!

Pledge: Get some more units finished for the SCC Dogs of War. We are at the 2/3 point and I don’t feel like I’m far enough progressed to get everything finished the way I’d like. I’m also distracted by Kings of War 4th Edition which I really like the look of and I’ve found a few bargains online so more on that after the SCC is ov…[Read more]

Here’s mine. He is the Saladin free give away miniature from Salute this year. He’s made by Wargames Atlantic. Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub was a Kurdish noble who rose to rule. Certainly noble enough. I’m actually using him as the Emir of Bornu-Kanembu for my Darkest Africa Savannah Knights army.
