About the Project

A couple of years ago I picked up Blackpowders Rebellion supplement. from Warlord games. Black powder games are hard to get into as it requires a lot of miniatures and my original thought was to delve into Napoleonics but the rebellion book sparked my imagination.I find the wars for independence to be very interesting and colourful with its variety and setting. This project is a chart of my progress as I began collecting the armies required to recreate the scenarios in the supplement and the terrain involved.

Highlanders on the march. Add a bit more character to my crown forces. Tartan is always a pain but I try and give the hint if tartan rather than real detailHighlanders on the march. So my plan is to have a smaller collection at this scale for use in skirmish games. So in going to get rid of half of my crown army pictured here. Since doing 10mm Napoleonic I think I'll use that scale for big battles because it just looks better. While skirmish looks great at larger scales So my plan is to have a smaller collection at this scale for use in skirmish games. So in going to get rid of half of my crown army pictured here. My massed Rebel infantry. I might still need a lot of these as they are lesser quality soldiers and cheaper to field in skirmish games My massed Rebel infantry. I might still need a lot of these as they are lesser quality soldiers and cheaper to field in skirmish games

My first 10mill redcoats. I have sold half of my 28m collection with the intention of reorganizing them for skirmish games and going large battle scale with these tiny chaps. Not sure which battle to prepare for. German town maybe or BrandywineMy first 10mill redcoats.
