Very nice. I’ve wanted to get into Napoleonics for the last 30 years but I always put it on the back burner as it seemed to huge to attempt. I fear I don’t have enough years left now to do it 🙂
I’m still more of fan of 1 stand equalling a brigade for rulesets though
I have seen some samples of the campaign guides and they are excellent. Any company that tries to lower those barriers into what is perceived as a unapproachable subject as the gentleman said is to be applauded
Any chance of a Lets Play
Hmmm..now I must buy a few sets. Oh darn!
The figures look like Magister Militum though not 100% sure
Yes they are.
Oh thanks for doing the Gianna
The=that
I’m definitely going to be looking into The Wargaming Company. The guides really look intriguing.
My best friend will go nuts over this
this game is a great way to get into historical wargaming… whats the price for the starter box?
The answer to this is in the Goodnight Video for tonight! No Seriously a starter set is $110
thanks!. its a very good price for the set… I really like the variety of books available, these guys are making it simple for getting into the game
Epic gaming in a mini scale. Very cool.
I’m not into historical gaming yet
Gorgeous. Epic scale works so well for Napoleonics
I am neither recovering nor looking to get in to napoleonics. I’m trying to catch up on my painting, not add 5000 models to the pool
What a great way to start historicals.
Good to see them trying to make these games more accessible.
10mm scale is nice….especially for storage. I have some 6mm AWI. Two armies fit in a shoebox.
this era is amazing. a treat for every maniac of this period.
intresting
Love the period and love those models, they just arent hig enough for me though! I love my 28mm scale minis, i know they take up more room and you end up having smaller games but i cant bring myself to go smaller!
Need to get my hands on some of those battle guides!
a easy game to learn for napoleonic, got me interested.
Amazing. Epic action. I love historical
Like this idea.
This scale sounds ideal for these type of games. Big armies on a small table sounds good.
Having the uniform templates to hand and not having to go look them up and worrying that you got it wrong is fantastic.
Sounds interesting, will check this out more.
I just can’t seem to get interested in historical wargames with guns, or any historicals if Saga doesn’t count. I do like The Wargame Company’s approach to making what is seen as one of the hardest genres of wargaming to get into and make it more approachable though. I think part of my inability to get interested in historicals is the “need” to remain true to historical uniform colors/patterns, I like making up my own paint schemes. I have to make up my own Craftworld for my 40K Aeldari because I don’t want to use one of GWs paint schemes.
That’s the nice thing about miniature having there is something for everyone.
These are some cool armies
I feel like 6-10 mm are perfect scales for Napoleonics.
His point about Battlefront lowering the entry point is a good one. 10mm is a great way to go.
A easy slim rule book is always a great abvantage.
Nice games 🙂
If you wanted to get into the Napoleonic period but are daunted by the number of figures needed then the South American Wars of Independence might be of interest . Same colourful uniforms but much smaller battles taking place
Very interested in the rules and guides. Would be looking to adapt them to my huge 15mm collection. Would be great to see a Let’s Play.
We’ve got you covered alanc, ESR Napoleonics are ground scale agnostic and we offer our Quick Reference Guides at a variety of ground scales from 1″=50 yards up to 1″=200 yards. For 15mm figures we’d strongly recommend using either the 75 yard or 100 yard scale pending exactly how your collection is currently based. You can obtain QRGs via our website: http://thewargamingcompany.com/downloads.html
I’m definitely coming around to the idea that this is the best scale for Any massed battle: Histoical, sci-fi, fantasy or otherwise…
Good coverage
awesome looking stuff
Love that Gianna has such a great love of historicals and moderns.
@stvitusdancern I forgot to ask period you went for. Revolutionary, 1st Empire or 100 days? Or something else?
Beautiful armies
It has been a long time since I have played Napoleonics. This sounds really fun.
Sounds like a game I could finally bring me into historical
10mm historical looks nice, especially to get into huge armies.
Napoleonics are great!
this looks fabulous
The uniform guides sound like a godsend – there’s nothing more soul destroying than trying to get your head around all that variation when you’re trying to get into the period.
As a long time Napoleonic nut who was having a break I picked these up at Warfare last year and gave them a go. They are very different to normal rules but in a good way, they do what they say on the tin and focus you at the corps level and after only one real game, but several rules exercises, our group was reinvigorated and we now own all the guides and are converting our 6mm armies and dreaming of fighting Borodino. The guides are a painters dream and I have to admit to spending more time browsing the plates than reading the scenarios. We are now nobly resisting buying the army packs as we have too much unpainted metal already….
An unboxing video of our ESR Box Sets was just recently posted, check it out: http://thewargamingcompany.com/news.html#ESR_Box_Set_Unboxing
Looks great
This looks cool
These are cute
These games look exciting!
This looks cool!
